Quote from: Mikhailov on January 10, 2024, 12:36:33 PMI see the holiday period is from Friday 5th July - Friday 19th July. Although it is technically 2 weeks, the reality for a player or manager is that it is a 1 week window as training will have restarted the week of the 19th fixture.
Realistically it is only a 7-10 day window to allow holiday.
Surely an easy solution is to move the game on Friday 5th forward by a day or two and delay the 19th game to the following Monday 22 or even to the following weekend and do a double fixture.
I know it is only a few days either way but it would increase the holiday options for all players rather than having to stick rigidly to the 7/10 day period.
Maybe someone will explain the rationale behind the dates published and there maybe a perfectly good reason for it

100% Should have at least 2 gameweeks break.
The calendar in Tyrone is probably the best in Ireland at present. 15 League campaign played over the best months (May-September), mostly on a Friday (to the delight of players) and a Knock Out Championship. I would say the county board and the CCC have the Senior season running very well, arguably the best it has ever run. Credit where credit is due.

100%, couldnt agree more

Men, absolutely the CCC do a magnificent job and our club season is brilliantly run but a few extra days to allow greater holiday opportunity is not disrupting the calendar at all. We are talking about 2/3 days either way - nothing extreme in that.

Or take the extra 2-3 days holiday regardless and miss a training session/game, nothing extreme in that either

Try explaining that to your manager if you are in desperate need of points when all your team mates have stuck to the holiday schedule.

Basically we are saying to move the game on 5th July to the 3rd and the game on 19th to the Mon 22 or Wed 24th (which doesn't delay any other fixture) and some men on here have issues with it......

It doesn't delay the season at all.
It does delay the season because it means there won't be a game then Friday 26th if you push games back to the 24th. Wednesday games are an issue, not as straight forward work wise as Friday games.

Play the game on the 26th. Why not? There was a double fixture last year on a Fri & Sun after the games were cancelled as a result of the unfortunate passing of Damian Casey. If Wednesday is an issue then go Friday and Sunday

100% no doubt the County Board have things as good as they have ever been just an area that could slightly help players.

1 more double gameweek or have the fixture on the wednesday 👍🏻

Games were at 8 last night. I see they've pulled them forward 15 minutes for next Friday which should help slightly. Certainly the bad weather hasn't helped. Evenings dropping down a bit quicker than normal at this time of year.

Is next Friday the last one before the Sunday game times restart

I think the week of the double fixture is the last Friday night game but the Senior games are a stand-alone fixture on the Friday. Think reserve games are on the Thursday
Final two league games are also Fridays. 7:00 throw in.

Friday night games best thing the county board ever done, long may they last !!

If Mc shane is anyway fit he has to be involved. Tyrone missing that presence in the forward line that he provides, even coming off the bench.
