What are the playoff spots? How many straight up and down?

2nd and 3rd from the bottom in Div 1 will have a playoff game (unless one of the teams in the spots win the SFC). The loser of this playoff is relegated to Div 2.

2nd and 3rd place in Div 2 will have a playoff game (unless one of the teams in these spots win the IFC). The winner of this will play the winner of the Div 1 playoff game in a final playoff game with the winner achieving Div 1 status and the loser will be Div 2 next year.

Does having  no playoffs in the league make a lot of games dead rubbers for  teams in especially in the middle.

Is Division 1 not splitting into 1A and 1B next year?

Clonoe v Coalisland this Sunday.

This game is MASSIVE for Clonoe.

McKernan and Devlin back from Amerikay

From my understanding they can play straight away.

Wonder will McKernan play like he did in the states? Would probably suit Clonoe if he did.

Can they play straight away or do they have 30 days to wait.
Maybe that isn't a thing anymore.

Four Sundays in the year isn't too much to ask. Fridays are good at the start but with light fading becomes a rushing match to fit them in. I'd say Sundays suit more people than Saturdays. Lot of boys work on Saturday evenings and there's a lot (particularly reserves) who play soccer on a Saturday.

The GAA should not be accomodating soccer when scheduling games.

All well in theory, but if you put players into a position where they have to choose between the two and in the end a significant amount decide to go with playing soccer over Gaelic football then it's likely some teams will fail to field, depriving game time not only of their own players that are willing to play but also their opponents. Communication between all involved is needed.

Slippery slope. Over time this will give soccer clubs all the power, the GAA clubs need to make a firm stance early.
