I dont expect us to win our next game unless there is some drastic changes in attitudes.......

Don't be fretting rossie as to your future as the hard working, diligent and informative authority on all things GAA that is Colm Keys for the Indo rounds up the indos lead article on Mayo in todays paper stating that:

"Their record of back-door redemption is poor. Yet their acceptance that the road to retaining their Connacht crown is paved with as much difficulty as they had at any stage in recent years. A confident Sligo, a bruised Galway  and finally a Roscommon team with momentum and no expectation all stand in their way."

.......I wasn't aware that the Roscommon v Leitrim game was already played............ ****hole journalism Mr Key's

There's no bigger insult to a county than completely writing them out of a championship without them even getting a chance to compete.

Spent hours going through book......

- words you need too use above are: World not "country" and This is not "I think".
Show me a continent this has not reached.............

Heartbreaking comments, some very very personal, puts all our problems in perspective.  It's hard but it'll do you good to read the book.

NO -  it's not true - although he is fighting for his life
- please remove your inaccurate post.

Philips family, friends , Club and fellow Leitrim supporters have enough to contend with without false information floating around.  A mass was said for him here in Beaumount hospital at 3pm today with close team mates from Mohill in attendance.

He's a fighter - he needs our support.

Congratulations to Waterford and Limerick, great to see them up in division 3 and they should both challenge for honours in that division next year.

Have to second that - they were the best teams Leitrim met in the League and deserve their promotion.  Didn't make it to Limerick and judging by the snippets I heard on web radio it appears that a lot of Leitrim players didn't turn up either.  Any way next competitive game is a long 9 weeks away.  Lots of time for postmortums and corrections.

Anyway best of luck to both teams in Div 3.

These tables mysteriously update also.
Quote from: drici on April 10, 2010, 01:23:29 AMLeitrim Footballers have scored 108 points.
They have been shooting well in the last number of games... its a pity about the 1st few games of the league otherwise promotion would be on the cards..........  Last time I saw them in Carlow they were in good form - top points scorers in League is a fair achievement ( albeit last round to go) ......

Don't bet on an easy win over Leitrim.....

The lads in green and gold won't have forgotten the farce of a refereeing decision in 2008 in Kilmallock that cost Leitrim dearly when John McKeon was on the Limerick 20 and hit the ball clean over the bar to draw the game (Leitrim just needed a draw to stay in Div 3).  The dick of a local ref (technically from Clare but all Limerick lads appeared to know him personally) BLEW the final whistle as THE BALL WAS IN FLIGHT and refused to recognise the score.  He cost the county dearly and he set things back several years.  The Limerick lads + mickey ned were thrilled with the result and were full of glee - they didn't earn themselves any friends either.

revenge will be sweet............

The new HS Opening Hours  ::)
At least it'll prevent the bar stool experts tanked up on a few bevvies racing home at 2 in the morning and spewing out their opinions online on a b*llsh*t story they heard in the pub that they are convinced is the truth and nothing but the truth.  The amount of purile trash that has been posted on that site is unreal - how a publication company could stand behind the stuff and how they haven't been taken to the cleaners is beyond me.

What a lump of lard....what's withthe permanent poles in the middle obstructing everyones view?Could they not have spent a few more bob building a cantilevered stand ...looks like something out of the 30's . Who built this heap? and why did they allow this go ahead ? Developers were sh1t buy the look of it

What's with the neutral blue seating? Couldn't they hae done Green/Red every second section?

Exactly - or Red seating with a white lettering as Gaeilge, or vice versa. Options abound for anyone with half an imagination. And don't anyone bleat about cost - if you're going into debt, different colours of the seats is not going to make too much difference.

depends on whether you get blue seats at a knock down price  :D :D ;D ;D :D :D

Taken from todays indo......    Which website ?

Gardai in Galway have been asked to investigate the content of a website after allegations were made against a number of hurling people in the county.

The development comes as the county braces itself for a contentious annual convention of the Galway Hurling Board tonight, when all six positions at the top table are being contested.

Gardai have confirmed that they have been asked to investigate the content of a website message board, which contained serious allegations concerning a number of individuals.

"A complaint has been made and it is being investigated," said a garda spokesperson.

The gardai have been asked to establish the identify of a number of people who posted the messages on the website.

A number of messages have since been removed or edited on the site.

Meanwhile, the impasse in the Clare hurling row looks set to finally be resolved today with the resignation of manager, Mike McNamara.

McNamara was expected to step down earlier this week after meeting with the Clare squad last Sunday.

It's believed that the embattled Banner boss will move aside today -- but not before outlining his views on the fall-out in what is expected to be a hard-hitting statement.

Clare PRO Sylvester O'Connor confirmed last night that he expected a quick conclusion to the impasse.

"As it stands, there have been no major developments to report," he said. "The impasse remains, but it's fair to say that we expect it to be concluded quite quickly."

Ger 'Sparrow' O'Loughlin, who won two All-Ireland titles during Clare's golden era in the '90s, has already been touted as McNamara's successor.
