Colm O'Rourke, a cultured left boot.  Maurice Fitzgerald, will there every be such a natural talent again.  Teddy McCarthy, Cork midfielder who could outjump the biggest midfielders despite only being about 5ft.  Mick Lyons, a savage of a man but very effective.

GAA Discussion / Re: Where now for Galway?????

Watched the game today and have to say Galway were a well beaten team - much more than the scoreline suggested.  The 'penalty,' which was extremely harsh to say the least only flattered to deceive.  The problem for a few years seems to have been in defence with no more major problems in attack.  Would any Galway people answer me a question.  What is the verdict on this Kieran Fitzgerald fella?  Always a lot of talk about him but he is roasted nearly every game I watch and never taken off.  Personally I think he's out of his depth at this level.

Anyone any thoughts on the aforementioned Dara as an analyst on The Sunday Game?  He has to be the best out there at the moment.  Not only does he know his stuff but he comes across as as a gentleman in the process.   Do us a favour RTE and move him onto the commentary as well and get rid of that eejit Martin Carney - christ he is rubbish!!

Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Football and Hurling

Don't kid yourselves about the Errigal Thirds.  Don't forget just how good the reserves (seconds) actually are.  They would easily beat some of the best teams in 1B and would walk div 2.  As someone said earlier no matter who plays for them they all will have tasted football at the highest club grade at one time or another.  First result may prove me wrong but I think they'll be there or thereabouts.

Results are on Aertel.  Is that Ardboe score correct? I know Errigal were missing the county men but so were Ardboe.  Seems to have been a very convincing win! Great result for Galbally. Killeeshil must have done really well also.  Coalisland with a good win in Aghyaran.  Looks like its going to be a tough season ahead in 1A with little between a host of teams.  The newcomers won't be whipping boys.
