Quote from: Munchie on November 16, 2025, 02:14:57 PMI believe in Price.
He'd be my favourite player! When Humphries and Littler turn the screw they're untouchable tho.

Big Farage/Reform supporter so he can piss off.

The Worlds start now on the 11th December so not long to go. There will be a lot of shit matches in the first few rounds now that it has been expanded but I'll still be glued to it. Littler is pretty much unbeatable over the longer format matches so not that its a foregone conclusion but would be surprised if anyone else wins it.

Quote from: WT4E on November 16, 2025, 09:29:30 PMIs there anywhere to see the highlights was looking to see if they where in tv tonight but no sign. Got last 5 mins. Was epic. Want to see it all

Don't taint the memory by watching the rest of the match. Even after the equaliser for 2-2 in the 80tj minute it was a frustrating 10 minutes of Hungary time wasting and Ireland giving away stupid foul after stupid foul, Festy and Idah looking like competition winners and not looking like scoring until the Kenny chance in injury time.

Epic finish that will live long in the memory. The goal was so reminiscent of the Keane goal v Germany in 2002.

Quote from: JPGJOHNNYG on November 15, 2025, 10:08:21 PMThat's some performance compared to the shambolic first half against Japan last week. Shame the first match was against NZ when they were misfiring as today England showed the all blacks aren't great
Predergast was good tonight. Put a lot of doubts to bed.

Did he put doubts to bed? It was a standard Prendergast performance. Good in attack but a complete liability defensively. It's not a physical thing in that if he puts on a few kg he'll be grand. He has no desire or want to put in a tackle and that's the problem. SA will take no prisoners with him next week.

Quote from: bennydorano on November 15, 2025, 10:52:35 PMI reckon Eubank will say he was ill or something, he looked so off it 2nite. Benn was excellent tho

I think excellent is over-egging it pardon the pun. Eubank was absolutely rank. Nothing left in the tank. Benn was good but I don't think it was as great a peformance as Dazn are making out.

Quote from: Jerome on November 13, 2025, 09:01:21 AMYes in their first year in existence they should have been winning the double

Or maybe they could have shown a bit of respect to the rest of the teams in the league and fielded in every game. That would have been a start.

Maybe O'Neills should take a good hard look at themselves as well. £44 for a kids jersey and £62 for an adult. Shocking.

Quote from: GlenMan on October 27, 2025, 11:52:34 PMI really hope we take the opportunity to have a proper reset of the squad - and rebuild with some younger talent. I have to admit I was disappointed last year that we defaulted back to the '21 squad in the most part - relying on Mattie, Mickey O'N, Frank burns, Hampsey, Mccurry, Mcgeary, Harte etc. They're not getting any younger.

Whilst there were some positive signs from some of the younger players, we need to be using division 2 to blood a whole batch of new players - many of the names mentioned above.

I hear that we will have a new S&C coach which is a big positive.

Do you mean a new S&C coach or the return of an old one?

Yep, maybe return is a better way to put it. Flights home are booked as far as I know

Peter Hughes?

Quote from: Truthsayer on October 26, 2025, 07:05:18 PMJust back from the final. Loughmacrory absolutely deserved that. Thought Trillick were going to steal it but not to be.
Gripe though... why does refs blow so often when a player takes off on a solo run after being fouled? I thought that was the idea to keep the game going. Happened a lot today for no apparent reason.
Great occasion. History made and Tyrone championship def tops all.

Think he was right on the few occasions he called it back. One particular time the Lough number 4 bounced to get the game going rather than soloing. Another time it was miles away from where the foul was.

Loughmacrory by far the better side with the better forwards. 1 point flattered Trillick. Ref done a sound job.

A good day for Loughmacrory.

And an even better day for the Firesticks.

Total income from 2024 gate receipts and streams: £632,456

Total stream only income from 2025 intermediate final according to Quarterbackk: £396,000

Sounds legit ::)

They were joint third favourites with Dungannon on BoyleSports from memory - was the number 8/1 roughly? Bookies well aware they are the up and coming team

Yeah they were 8 or 9/1. Correct - anyone with a set of eyes and any knowledge of football knew they were in with a decent shout of getting at least this far this year.

Quote from: seafoid on September 30, 2025, 07:27:14 PM"From a broadcaster's perspective, from a commercial perspective, the build-up to All-Ireland finals in August or September gives greater scope, energy and focus.

McBennett has some cheek coming out with that crap. There's so little coverage given to GAA from one week to the next on RTE you wouldn't even know the championship was on so it wouldn't matter when it was on to them.

Also world cup final is likely to be on at 8pm or thereabouts. That'll be a great day of sport to look forward to.

What are those timings all about there? First game will be over by 4. County board get a lot right in terms of organising the championships but that's ridiculous.
