So Brennan is dropped for Bastick, and Cian O Sullivan is going centre back.
Also Philly McMahon starting at corner back. A lot of changes.

Sounds like the Dubs are putting their best foot forward but it smacks of fear a little bit too.

Sure they expect O Suillivan to take Dillon but that takes a lot of pace from the Dublin midfield. Brennan was always the link man out of defence, crucial for short kickouts and generally set up the play for Dublin. He is a loss despite what they say in the media this week.

Is that official?? Seems like a lot of changes alright - the problem is that they could do with COS playing at both CHB and in MF. Would have preferred to see Brennan in there as I think he's a weak link.

From a very close source.

Brennan is the glue that puts it all together. Very underrated in my opinion. Just count how many possessions he gets through in a game, and how many passes forward he gets or how many times he get a short kickout. He ran the show when Mayo played Dublin in the league.

I think it will play into Mayo's hand a little in the sense that Mayo dont overly depend on Dillon any more and now the Dublin midfield will probably struggle as they are not as mobile without COS.

Surely it will upset the Dublin camp not to see a senior player like Brennan get the nod, for experience alone. It would be like Mayo dropping Moran or Vaughan for the final based on a bad semi marking the best player ever to play football - wouldnt happen. And if Philly McMahon is starting to rough up Cillian, they have already lost. Bring it on.

Put them on eBay and you could get €25000 for them especially if they're all together.  :)

You could be lucky enough.

Not in a lifetime!

Looking for a straight face value swap, wouldnt be into that  ;)

It might be a bit late for this but to save pain on websites like gumtree perhaps we could start this thread?

I would have 4 Hill 16 tickets that I would like to swap for seated lower tier Hogan or Cusack tickets, if possible together, but I would consider 2 pairs.

Obviously I would make up the face value difference in cash.

PM me if interested.

exactly, didnt tick all the boxes. Did he forget? Tried and Mayo had left? Wouldnt be bothered? Who knows?

The priority was winning the AI for his county.

You still suing the local council?

For the smell of the bullshit coming out of your mouth I am thinking of bring a lawsuit against you

Id say very little would annoy you

In the euphoria of winning the final and the absolute mayhem after, Id say its near impossible to tick all the boxes.

Sure I heard Jim was on the blower to James Horan later on that evening ;-)

Impossible to tick all the boxes...
So he had the presence of mind to evict Bogue from the post match press conference but a handshake to the opposing manager and saying a few words in the losing dressing-room escaped him?
Interesting theory on his priorities there, its painting the picture alright.

This is going to sound very cruel, but if what's bothering losers about losing is the failure of the winners to commiserate with them, maybe that's why they're losers.

There is a hell of a lot more, I just stumbled on this thread and someone made in initial point and I agreed.

Haven't a clue if he is annoyed or not but for an opposing manager not coming into the losers dressing-room, and not shaking hands after and All Ireland final is unheard of, and it annoyed me when I heard it.

So you know for a fact that it's happened in every previous All-Ireland final

Yes, prove me wrong.

Dont know why people are making excuses. Maybe this or that.

He didnt even shake the James Horans hand after the game.

Did James Horan shake Jim McGuinness's hand? Sore loser if he didn't.

Are you serious, Jim was too busy running onto the pitch in front of the cameras celebrating.
Were you even watching the end of the game?

Are you James himself? If he is so annoyed about it I'm sure it will come out and journo's will be only too delighted to talk about it and use it as a stick to beat McGuiness.

No, I'm not being serious. But as I said in my previous post on the thread, I don't see it as necessary for winners to commiserate with losers in that manner.

You have obviously not played sport at a competitive level to know what a major loss feels like.
Its a tradition and a good one.
