I'd take the attention you get on these sites with a pinch of salt.

A girl here in work used to work for one of those dating sites as an evening job. Her job was to run several fake profile of girls on the site and interact with the fellas. Her task was to get as many of them to sign up for the paid premium membership.

So whenever a new male would sign up, she'd be messaging them and flirting with them.

That sort of outfit is still in fashion down in Galway!
