Soeme brainless kicking by Kilcoo in the 2nd half of extra time; delighted for Scotstown, some real ageing warriors on their team. Beggan's influence was decisive

Presume it was a 3 man breach; unbelievably stupid at such a critical stage

Scotstown absolutely blew that; 3 pts up, with a free and an extra man, Beggan should have played for possession rather than just driving it up the field into that breeze. And then fouling in perfect 2 pt distance!!! But fair dues yet again to Kilcoo, they never give up, even when the cause seemed lost

Tactic from Kilcoo; against a strong breeze, just play keep-ball, don't even try to score. It's up to Scotstown to press the ball and get it off them. Will Scotstown replicate this in 2nd half?

Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Football and Hurling

Just saw video of another free-for-all at the Paul McGirr tournament. Burren were the Down team, don't know the Tyrone team involved. Not the first, I remember a famous video circulating some years ago that even an All-Black's forward commented on

The horns should be confiscated; really spoil the atmosphere. And once again, teams with similar colours; both black shorts, Kilcco black jerseys, Carryduff dark purple.  No consideration for the elderly/visually impaired. And Guinness just passed the ball straight to Kilcoo, so obs affects players as well.
Carryduff lacking conviction with their shooting, a few hen-kicks into the keeper's hands. Still have a chance, but kilcoo in the driving seat

Once again, it's the ref's fault

A real hammering in the end; Burren beaten all over the field, and bad losers as well. Something wrong with the Burren attitude.

Burren leading 1-3 to 0-0 after 5 mins, but Carryduff have dominated since, esp from kick-outs. Only 1 pt in it at half time, but Carryduff have the wind, so must be favourites now

Heard that St Johns won by 1 pt, Attical disputed the final score.

Great achievemnet; so many personal bests! And tough luck for McPhillips; 1:42.15 is some effort

Drumgath blew that, kicked some terrible wides, and then had the gall to surround the ref after the game; yes, it was the ref who kicked those wides

Jersey clash is ridiculous, both teams with black shorts, dark green jerseys, Bryansford with a gold strip. No consideration for elderly or visually impaired. Must be difficult for players as well

It drives me mad.

Why any club / mentor believes there's an advantage in wearing "first choice colours" over improving visibility for their playmakers, I'll never know.
In the final seconds, Bryansford were on the attack searching for an equalising score. It was helter-skelter, and Danny Savage, one of their best players for years, passed the ball straight into the arms of a Castlewellan defender, who booted it downfield and the ref blew the final whistle. I wouldn't be surprised if the similar colours had something to do with the misplaced pass

At a few club championship games recently; the wind is now really critical. Even a minimal amount either increases or decreases the option for 2-pointers, Playing with the wind now requires a substantial lead at half-time
