2 more goals for Messi next weekend and he equals the real Ronaldo's record from the 1996/1997 season of 34 goals in la liga and 47 in all competitions. To be fair he should have equalled it last night, but fingers crossed for next weekend.

Isn't there another Batman film coming out in the current "franchise"? I.e. Christian Bale et al.

Think I'll have a bit of that second double. Cheers, worker!

What did you get for that double? Higuain is 18/1 for top scorer, so could be interesting to find out what price that double is. Also, European winner: 4/11, South American winner: 11/5.

Watched Hot Tub Time Machine last night, it won't win any oscars or anything but some great laughs in it. Watched Gladiator recently, got me really excited for Robin Hood, looks excellent. 12th May release date, isn't it?

He's 10/1 to win the top scorer, so make what you will of that. I seen an interesting bet on Maradona to be banished to the stands at any time, 14/1. Also interesting, Javier Mascherano to commit the most fouls: 16/1 or...Ronaldo to win the best player, win the golden boot and take his shirt off after scoring: 33/1.

I wouldn't think so Worker. Especially with the group they're in.

I'd rather listen to "what could have been" or the "maybe, just maybe" Sun advertisements (the one where they have 2 stars above the badge) on TV than listen to them if they actually won it. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Not sure of the degree of bullshit printed in the Italian media, don't think it would be anywhere near as bad as the Brits (i.e. Messi signing for Real Madrid for £120m, according to the Daily Mirror), but hopefully this story is concrete.

First international tournament in a while where I think they will definitely flop. Imagine if the c*nts had got Capello in a few years ago, thankfully they didn't.

What a great night of football! Barcelona game could have been 6-0 at a stage but credit to Sevilla for fighting back. Hopefully they'll wrap it up next weekend. Read an interesting article today on sport.es that Juventus are interested in re-signing Ibrahimovic for around €40m, which would pave the way for David Villa and would be a great bit of business! Can't see Pellegrini staying on next year and, I have to say, I feel sorry for him, they've had a great season.  But I suppose he must have known the pressure (politics) involved with the job before he took it.

He really is a class act. Read an article in fourfourtwo a few months back about how they keep their players going so long in Serie A, Maldini, Costacurta, Cafu, etc., so we could be seeing Zanetti around for a few more years yet!

RE: Maradona, it's a shame he's in charge, so many talented players, but he doesn't have a clue. The likes of Zanetti and Riquelme won't be playing in SA, which is ridiculous. He just isn't cut out for such a career, hope he proves me wrong though.

What age is Javier Zanetti now? Really doesn't get enough credit for the standard of performances he's been putting in over the years. Showed massive commitment staying there so long, especially in today's game. Dissapointed in the result, but happy to see him getting a chance in the final.

Managers don't tend to last very long at either of the big 2 clubs in Spain, so it may be an ideal pit-stop till Fergie calls it a day.

It would indeed be a bad move, he's far too outspoken for the post and there's far too much "politics" involved, i.e. the man in the dugout doesn't have as much influence as he should. Real Madrid usually get what they want in these scenarios, but it will be interesting to see what happens, given that he has now won over the Italian media, who never really warmed to him before.
