A month of this shite soon.  Feck, I'd rather watch the X Factor!!

Is rather watch this than feckin Armagh try to play football! There are 200 other channels I'm sure you can find something else to watch while the Rugbys on!

Sorry CP I totally disagree with that. These games are about building momentum and a style of play when we get to NZ.

We have no form and are now relying on a one off performance against Oz to beat them rather than good form!!

We've learned a right bit from that pish today. D'arcy, O'Leary, Earls, Jones and Jennings should not be near our starting team.

A lot of poor performances today and as I suspected the tactic of trying to maul instead of creating a ruck won't work against the stronger teams. Surprisingly our scrum and lineout functioned well but we got creamed physically.

There's a lot to work on for the WC but I'm not completely down hearted Kearney, Bowe, Ferris and Flannery will strengthen the team. I am at a loss about who will play 12 though... Is Fitzgerald an option at all?? That's our biggest weakness!!

I have no problem with it per se but I don't think I would send my kids there unless they really wanted to go.

I loved the School I went to and would want my kids to have the same experiences I had. Even in a Catholic Grammar we were always told to respect people of other faiths and were often involved in Cross Community events so I don't see how this is an issue really. What kind of school would be promoting sectarianism anyway??

Like I said I would have no problem with it if the School's standards were up to scratch and my kids really wanted to go there. As long as the4 kids are being well educated then I don't really see what the problem is.

Glad Ferris is named on the bench for Saturday I had heard a few rumours he might not make it. O'Brien, Heaslip and Ferris is a serious back row and one to match any Nation. My problems for us would be Hooker, Loosehead, inside centre and FB.

We're strong in all other areas I feel. I'm not getting carried away but if the heads are right we will cause a lot of teams huge hassle and I'm looking forward to the WC.

Would like to see G Murphy gt some decent game time as well as Keith Earls at inside centre but I don't think Kidney will go that way and in fairness who am I to argue with him about it. e hve the makings of a team that can cause problems though that is for sure!

Awful 2nd half. Fabregas came on and had some nice touches a couple of good tackles and a hand in the goal. Was very close to getting in for one or two as well.

Thought Messi was immense even with that belly he seems to have. God help teams in Spain when he's 100% fit. Just an amazing footballer!

GAA Discussion / Re: New stadium for Dublin?
August 18, 2011, 12:35:30 AM
I agree with Indiana  :o :o :o ( I know it feels dirty). . . what possible reason do the Dubs need another stadium for?? There's loads of stadiums around the country that sit idle year round while Dublin have 2 top grounds in one County ...

General discussion / Re: Knock, Knock: Who was there?

Yeah I can't see it being true. I do believe that there is a god but to be honest the Bible annoys me because it is full of untruths and madness. (Have a listen to Dave Allen if you don't believe me).

As a guide to living a better life sure the bible is a decent foundation as long as you don't get too carried away with it.

If people need a place like Lourdes or Knock to have some faith in a higher being and then ultimately themselves then who are we to ridicule them.

The Gaa have put a lot of resources into developing hurling in Dublin and it has bore fruit with Dublin now probably the 3rd best team in the country having won the league and gave Tipp their hardest game of the year.

A few years ago they were barely in the top 10 in the country and the underage coaching and development work over the years has paid off.

If the same resources/effort was put into a county in football with a large population base which had won nothing in a long time such as Antrim or Down could a similiar turnaround occur?

That's a bit cheeky isn't it? Down are hardly struggling that badly and they have plenty of resources!

Joe Brolly's articles are complete pish but at least they have a bit of humour or say something controversial.

I didn't even read all of Mickey's article I skimmed it for the jist and then turned over to read about Antrim upping the stakes in terms of discipline.

Replace him with John Brennan who never comes out with excuses.

Lol what's that got to do with the price of bread. John Brennan isn't writing a weekly column crying at pundits and making excuses.

I don't think any current manager should have a weekly newspaper column and certainly not John Brennan. Sure let Mickey Harte make excuses when he's interviewed after a game but his artcles are muck, when I read an article every week I want somethin different apart from "My players are fit shut up" and "International Rules is bad mmmkay".

Brilliant article today by Mickey Harte.

Puts the season in perspective.

Mickey deserves enormous credit for the very dignified and profesional manner he has conducted himself throughout the season and to suggest that it was diffcult for him, his family, the backroom team and players would be an understatement.

Well done.

No it's not it's just an article full of excuses and having a pop at Pundits. They should take his article out of a Friday it's tripe and just amounts to him having a go at anyone who dares to criticise his team.

Get Christy O'Connor to do a football article on a Friday. His hurling article every week is far and away the best bit of journalism throughout the whole paper!!!
