Could we not just throw some new toilets and some bigger dugouts and spend the rest elsewhere?

It's not like Nelson or Tom Elliott will ever be there to see what work has went on ;)

Agree completely with all Screen Exiles points.

Jordan was as good this year as he has been and as for Canty pipping McKernan?

Probably didn't want to have 5 Down vs 3 Cork and couldn't agree on any Cork forwards.

There seems to be one of these plucked from the air every year.

Last year Kennelly got 1 despite not starting most games and Canavan got 1 in 2005 at CHF instead of Brian McGuigan.

Is it like the Oscars where Scorcese and Paul Newman get honoured at the end of their careers?

It would be interesting to be afly on the wall as these decisions are hammerred out.

There's no way you could call that game dour. Pace and intensity were something else and you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife that day.

Having said that the 1st half was poor enough quality as was some of the shooting and decision making throughout.

Definitely was a game Armagh should have won. Had enough possession to win. When Clarke scored to put us 2 up after Tyrone had lost the ball coming out of defence, I really thought we had it but we didn't score after that.

Key moment was John McEntee's mishit pass which ended up with Sweeney equalising.

Logged on to this thread excited about the game next year. Disappointing to see the pettiness.

The problem with the draw in October is that a lot can change in 8 months. When we got Derry last year it seemd like a tough draw, by the time of the game it didn't look so tough.

Bookies will have Down favourites no doubt but next year will be even harder for McCartan. Momentum may not be so easy to gather next year.

Not wanting to put any pressure on Paddy O'Rourke but if he loses this one pressure will be building on him.

Seems like a complete waste of money.

How many times has Casement been full in the last 10 years?

How many times a year would an all seater be full?

There is £50m earmarked for GAA stadia. Could the GAA not cut a deal that it would get £40/£45 million and allocate this to clubs throughout Ulster?

The last thing we need is another white elephant like the Gaelic Grounds.

You always get the impression with Monty he is going to crack at any moment ( bit like when he blew all those majors).

If Harrington shows any form and Westwood is fit Europe should win but hopefully by a small margin to make Sunday more exciting.

Are any of the terrestial channels showing highlights?

Boogie Nights is a greta show although maybe 20 mins too long. Fantastic soundtrack to it.

Remember going to see it in Belfast the year it came out and a few people walked out during one of the sex scenes. What did they think it was about?

Wall Street original is ok. More style over substance. How many lines became famous from it?

"Greed is Good"

"Lunch is for Wimps"etc

Think Fatal Attraction was out round the same time. Superior Michael Douglas film.

Raw is brilliant. Even though you know the punchlines it is still laughout loud funny.

How can he go from that to Daddy Day Care etc?

Also

Airplane
Naked Gun
Blazing Saddles
The Man with 2 brains
Life of Brian
Shaun of the Dead
Dumb and Dumber
Back to the Future
Coming to America
Borat

Used to think Weird Science was a classic until I saw it again recently. Not as funny as I had remembered

If the ban was reduced because of the "name" Bradley is, it is a disgrace.

However the time ban is an absolute joke. There are so many great things about the GAA but some things are so irritating. Wasn't match bans proposed at congress?

How hard could it be to administer?

GAA Discussion / Re: Fermanagh new senior manager

Would Chapman not still be over the U21s?

Think he would have been a better bet as he seemed to do a good enough job with the U21s and seems to be doing ok with Mullahoran in Cavan.

Has O'Neill won anything before?

Fermanagh should win Div 4 next year especially if Owens is back. With their best 15 fit and on the field they can match the best on their day with the right manager in charge.

Definitley need Eamon Maguire back and it is now Daryl Keenans 3rd year at senior level and it is time for him to deliver on the potential he showed at McCrory level.

Rory Gallaghers best days are behind him I'm afraid.

Jumping the gun a bit but draw looks nicely set up for appetising QF of Cross V St Galls.

St Galls would be slight favourites for this I would imagine.

By the way for any Donegal Gaels how are the 2 legged ties working out? Do away teams sit back or does it make no real difference?

Great idea Benny Harp. Maybe even a whole minor set of All Stars.

Why not give some of the young lads a bit of glory? They have provided some great games this year.

Any truth in the rumour that Andrew Maxwell is to be the next Fermanagh manager?

#929
Could be? How much blood can you squeeze from a stone year in year out?

Having said that he is still too conservative. Sticks with Hibbert when Coleman is bursting to get in.

1 striker up front at home to Wolves/Newcastle. early days yet but Beckford already looks a gamble that has'nt paid off. New guy Gueye should be given a chance up front, even Baxter maybe.

If Moyes has had enough who would take over O'Neill? Can't see it.

Would agree that Cork are rightly favourites for next year. Now they have won 1 they might throw off the shackles next year and play with a bit more expression. I think they would like to get Kerry at the knock out stages as there is still that question mark looming over them.

Tyrone should really have beaten Dublin and against Cork you would have fancied them after last years defeat. Was it just a bad day at the office or are there too many miles on the clock for a few of Harte's most loyal players? Next year will tell the tale, there are plenty of potential minor players coming through but that is no guarantee of senior success.

Dublin seemed to enjoy being underdogs this year. Will the increased expectation count against them? It is one thing creating a good defensive set up but it is another finding 2 or 3 scoring forwards. Will Brogan be as consistently good next year?

Can't wait to find out.
