See to-day's Irish News, Rev David Firth, rector of Wolverhampton, said

Also loved the coffin in Wolves colours with badge. I want one of those, with Spurs colours and badge, when I shuffle off this mortal coil

We'll try and arrange an IFA one like your hero George Best ;)

The guts of it is that the IRA weren't defeated and the British Army weren't defeated. Each side knew though that neither was going to let the other 'win', hence a stalemate and truce that both sides were happy for.

However, I think it's going over old ground that probably is best left in the past.

I thought United fans wanted an out and out striker when last season finished, Tevez and Rooney are very similar as far as i can see.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I have no doubt that he's a good player, and we would be an exciting team to watch next year with him in the mix too, but we are lacking the guy getting in behind the defence and getting the bread and butter striker goals.

Hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

Called off due to light 5-5 final set. Least my bet still going!!

Four match points there, was bricking them. Though the Tiger didn't even get a return in play from any of the four, what a bottler.

Regardless of my bet I just hope he loses anyway so don't have to listen to those twats in the crowd anymore when daz boy is playing, or whatever f**king soap powder he endorses.

Go on Tim! :D

I'm sure he'll lose though.

To get away from the general crap that happens over the 12th, I'm taking the family down to Westport for the week. I haven't been before, and while anyone who I've spoke to says it's a great place, was wondering if anyone on this board knows of good things to do/places to eat/nice pubs etc. I've got two small wee'uns as well, so family friendly recommendations would be much appreciated.

The one where Santa's Little Helper runs away is a good one

Homer: "Look Bart, there he is...........no its a horse".

The one where Marge thinks she is pregnant again is a classic as well. But there are too many good ones to choose.

Favourite Homer quote:

"I want to share something with you: The three little sentences that will get you through life. Number 1: Cover for me. Number 2: Oh, good idea, Boss! Number 3: It was like that when I got here."

QuoteWhy Cowell put his name to this I'm not sure

Quite simple - $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yeah, but I think he'll lose his reputation by further diluting himself amongst the other brands of reailty show, X Factor which he is synonymous with fair enough, but with Grease is the Word and now Britain's Got Talent his impact will be lost. Though his wallet will be thicker undoubtedly.

what a lot of our unionist posters dont seem to get is that in the south people dont equate voting for sf with voting for a ui. i would love to see a ui yet i have never voted sf even though sf has a td in my constituency. last time i looked ff were also a republican party who believed in a ui.. (as are fg by the way)

I suppose a good question is then what SF voters down south are voting for when they mark their preference - is it as a left wing party with socialist ideals?

I saw part of this programme and it was clear that Britain didn't have talent.

Why Cowell put his name to this I'm not sure, reminded me a lot of dodgy 1980's 'acts'.

Just read 'Damned United' about Brian Clough's ill fated spell at Leeds and also his rise through management - it's an excellent read, part fact and fiction, highly recommended.

I'd also recommend 'Stuart: A Life Backwards' a true story about a homeless man and how he came to be on the streets - a moving and funny story.

Life of Pi is good, though I'd be interested to hear what people think of the ending and what it means in relation to the comment on the cover about making you believe in God.

If you have your own water supply do you still have to pay water rates?

No, if you get it from a source off the mains e.g. well or spring, then you don't have to.

Yeah, it's a cost we could do without - when the full bill kicks in it will damage the pocket. I will pay them though, because I'm an honest type of guy - and don't want to get brought to court and have a bad credit rating too. That's also a reason.
