A player ala tiernan McCann with pace would be useful coming from deep. Surely someone about?
Our players who were doing this seem to be past their best at this stage.
I think Cormac Quinn got a couple of nice scores in the league. McKernan was also good at breaking through the lines and winning a free or shooting (with mixed results). Both "corner backs" , by the number on their shirt anyway.
I haven't seen enough of Niall Devlin... is he much of an attacking threat?

Can someone explained what happened with the Tyrone "indirect free"? That's what the BBC commentators called it but I can't remember it happening in GAA before.
When play is stopped for a serious injury, play is restarted with a free for the last team in possession but they can't score from the free. If no team was in possession it is a hop ball
The ongoing lack of knowledge of this rule by so many never ceases to amaze me!!
I suspected that's what it was for but as I said I had never seen it before, or just didn't notice. 99% of the time in these situations it seems to be a hop ball, maybe the ref normally lets things run until the ball spills loose?

What happened with the McCurry shot at the start of the second half that was given wide? They showed the replay a while after and maybe looked like a point but BBC commentators didn't mention it.

McCurry and D Canavan will stay up front for the most part but the rest are sweepers, runners, middle eight, quarterbacks, ... whatever label you want to put on them. The numbers on the back of the shirt mean nothing.

It's a chant I associate with rangers fans. Never heard it at a GAA match

After a mixed league campaign for both sides they take on each other in the Ulster Championship this weekend.

I have to say I haven't felt as unenthusiastic about a championship match for years. I have a feeling that either side wouldn't be too bothered about being knocked out to avoid another tough match or two before the AI series begins.

Silly question here...
Have NY and Lon been in the same championship before? As far as I remember it was one or the other.

Blue Lights episode 4 is one of the best episodes of TV I've seen in years. If it was from an American show, say The Wire or similar it would be lauded by critics. I hope the show gets the recognition it deserves.

Allegedly Potter is to receive around 80 million for his 7 months at Chelsea. I think I'd retire.

I thought Paul Cassidy showed poor judgement today, shooting from low percentage positions. He appears to have the talent and I'm sure he'll improve.

I'm not too sure McFaul will be a success. Unlikely to pick up his form after a long time out and might unsettle the team. Famous last words maybe.

It's only the league. Division 2 final. Derry won the more important match in celtic Park.

Why is everyone so angry these days
The silent majority go about their daily lives without too much anger. What we see on social media etc. is the .1% who want to be heard loudest.

It's harsh but Tyrone look a much better side without McShane. He's been given enough chances and is well down the pecking order. He will get a chance and I hope he proves me wrong again.

McGeary has been poor since winning player of the year. Not sure why as it's not obvious what he's doing wrong. Just has had so little impact on play.

Sludden gets a run out now and again. A great servant and nice to have in the squad, obviously trusted by management, but is not a game changer.

We have more positives than negatives from this league campaign. The players responded when getting written off and a few young lads getting experience.
