Groundhog Day approaches. Wickla in Aughrim. Any predictions?
Heard we lost a challenge game to Carlow yesterday. Doesn't sound great but no idea of strength of team used.
A good few lads gone from panel I've heard. Corbet, Senior, Podge Dunne, Cian Doyle, Adam Campion. Wouldn't be surprised if Sean Greene was brought in as cover. James Kelly was in a foot boot  a week ago.

Bit unlucky last night and definitely I'd think unlucky to draw Kildare in the first round.
Hard to see potential future senior footballers in the team to be honest but football is funny like that. Don't think Dylan Kavanagh would have been predicted to be a senior player out of his underage group so who knows? Maybe Sean Greene who I think is a good prospect.

I know its only Div3 football but there is something seriously wrong in Portlaoise

Result from Wed 13th
ACFL Division 3B Round 2

Graiguecullen  9-18
Portlaoise        0-5
Graigue second team against Portlaoise third team? Or both third teams?

Relegation could be accepted had we used Div. 3 to introduce
more youth, but it was disheartening to see management going back to the older guys time and time again. Bleak future awaits us.
Not defending Billy.or anything but the pick of the best young lads in the county turned down the invitation to be part of the panel so very hard to introduce young blood then.
To the best of my knowledge and it might not be a complete list either, these lads all weren't interested. Diarmuid Whelan, Ronan Coffey, Robert Tyrrell, Jack Owens, Niall Dunne, Gary Saunders. They were the pick of the last two good under 20 teams.

This Tipperary v London game next weekend needs to be moved from Saturday to Sunday.
The whole integrity of the Division depends on it.

Well done to players and management, nice to get off to a winning start.
Great to see no less than 4 of your own club Kilcavan lads on the panel too.

What has happened that Crettyard are no longer in with Na Fianna Og. Thought things were going well there with good success at minor and U20 last year.
Don't know where Crettyard going with Spink leaves Park Ratheniska who seemed to have a good set up at under 15, 17.

Ultimately the good O'Byrne Cup campaign and away win in Louth seem to have given us false hope.
I doubt if any other county has as many players who've turned down the call up to the county team. We simply can't absorb that.

A bit early to be predicting these games but sure why not?
Arles Killeen v Portarlington - Port handily enough.
Portlaoise v Emo - Think Portlaoise will be better prepared than 2020 and edge it.
O Dempseys v Killeshin - O'Dempseys but not by much.
Rosenallis v Ballyroan Abbey - BA comfortably .
Stradbally v Ballyfin - Stradbally are improving and might pull off a shock here.
Park Ratheniska v Courtwood - Think Courtwood's experience of senior will help them edge this.
Graigcullen v Clonaslee St Manmans - Graigue by 6 or 7.
St Joseph's v Ballylinan - Joe's although Ballylinan can't be as bad again as last year.

Minors played Tipp last Saturday in COE. Game destroyed by wind. Tipp won but not sure by how much. Could've been around 6 or 7 points. Laois team looked a bit experimental compared to previous weeks. Hard to read this team as yet. Every game they've played seems to have been in difficult weather!

I've seen every game Laois played this year bar the Louth one and I'm 100% sure that most of the other forwards who are competing with Ross for a place in the squad or match day panel are simply not putting their hand up and taking Ross's spot. It's that simple.
Personally, I'm surprised Ross went back for another year but you cannot underestimate his importance around a dressing room. He's always a positive influence.
Also the two Kingstons and Sean Moore are injured. We have plenty of other good young forwards in the county who can't or won't commit to the county panel. So, we need the Ross Munnellys and Mark Timmons of this world.

Does anyone know the full panel yet?
It's pretty much all the lads who played in the O'Byrne Cup along with Timmons and the two Port lads Bennett and Foster less a couple of lads who've left the panel.

Apart from a few I didn't see alot of the names getting transferred on there clubs team sheets over the last few years🤣
That's usually the case. The vast majority of transfers are uncontested and involve either lads who haven't played for years or underage players who might be moving home address.
