Was a decent game alright.

One of your midfielders was particularly impressive.

The current U12 to Minor age group at Aghagallon isn't too bad.....  8)

This years U12 Div 1 SW Winners, U14 Div 1 SW Winners, U16 Shield Winners, Minor Div 1 Winners and quite a few MacRory and Hogans threw in for good measure this year.

Should be the makings of a good senior team from 2020 onwards.......  :P

The Deuce is great.

Sleazy side of New York City in the 70's.

Season 1 up on Sky Atlantic and Season 2 is about 3 episodes in.

Anyone know who won the U14 SA Football League final between St.Paul's and Sarsfields recently?

That was a great night of fights!

Really enjoyed the whole show.  Some big knock-outs and great finishes.

That fight came too soon for Till.  And him looking to move up in weight as well?

I went to secondary school in the early/mid 90s.  Most of the teachers were of the era when they were allowed to batter you senseless, so they had to adjust and get used to the whole "no corporal punishment" thing.  Don't think they coped too well with that.

Thankfully most of my kids teachers, whilst under pressure for results, are pretty good.  They really do try and get the best out of them.  So yeah, I think teachers have evolved.

Just annoys me that they're mostly all younger than me.....

Just caught up with the Prelims last night and really enjoyed the Sayles Vs Moraes fight.

Sayles had a pretty good debut.  Loved his fighting style and how he rolled every punch and kick.  Still took a few digs, but he has a good engine.  Looking forward to see him fighting again.

As for DJ, people just don't seem to like him for some reason.  Can't put my finger on it.  He's a class fighter and if he doesn't get the rematch there's something wrong.

Yeah, I though Mighty Mouse had it in the bag 3 to 2.  Great fight all the same!

Only adding to last Saturdays squad , add in Kernan's , Carragher from Cross , Andy Mallon , Finn Mo , all early 30's who still featuring with their clubs . Their experience would have made all the difference coming off bench for last 15 . Mayo team has several over 30's still playing out of their skin !!

Great players as they were in their day, bringing up the Kernans, Mallon and Finn Mo is a ridiculous line of argument. Trying to build a team for the future, not looking back into the past.

I'm not so sure JP. My understanding is that Geezer's management style alienated both Paddy Mo and Dennis Stevenson, both of whom could have played an important role on Saturday.

Not to mention how much we missed Benny Tierney's kick-outs.

I second the Jocko Podcast.

Some great Vietnam War episodes if you're into that sort of thing.

The Irish History Podcast with Finn Dwyer is excellent, particularly the series on the Famine.  It'll get your blood boiling.  He does Famine Walking tours round Dublin too, which I'll definitely be booking.

Oh, and Blindboy is great.

Great scrap, although I thought Romero should have got the decision.

Fair play to Whittaker though, fighting as he did with a broken hand.
