What's the news on down players leaving the panel?
Also believe Colgan will be dropped - slightly new half back line

div2 starting to look settled - annaclone getting back on track with their new signings it seems, plus kilclief get a win under new management?! great win for d'patrick who look in it for the long haul - 3 teams from top 4 look most likely to make play offs - any thoughts on bottom end??

Harps v Saval Poor top of table clash - Saval deservedly won + probably should have won by more

Seems to be a notion that Dan will start at 14
Good move I reckon

Anyone that thinks this game is gonna be an open/both teams all out attack are crazy.
I think Tyrone disrespected Down in 08 over 2 games by not defending as they normally would + paid the price. Should Tyrone decide to play their traditional defend in numbers + drive out en masse from the back, then I think Down are in big trouble.
Down's team will change I think with 3 or 4 personnel changes + I have no doubt that James will remain defensive with 8/10 players behind the ball
He will have been gutted that Down conceded 2 goals and so easily last day out.

I do expect Down to give Tyrone a game but head rules heart + Tyrone should win by 3.

Congrats to Glenn - that's a fine achievement having so many on the minor team.

I could be wrong but credit to Tony Bagnall for a youth policy that is obviously paying dividends + will show in their senior team!

The more I look at this game the more I start to fancy Donegal. Down are in diffs with lots and lots of injury problems and even the fellas just back from injury are in trouble - you cant miss 3/4 weeks training then walk back into an ulster championship match and expect to be up to speed. The much maligned defence/full back line is where the problems lie. I am also hearing lots of problems with fringe players not getting a sniff and some have walked as a result....this doesnt bode well.

Donegal have come in with a decent div2 campaign behind them, and absolutely no word from them - all nice and quiet, no noise makes a good build up....

I fancy Donegal by 3

Am i right in saying that as the championship draws have not yet been made neirther has a weekend been given as for the first round?

Just checked the Master Fixture List TG and it seems the first round for championships are fixed for Thursday 5th, Friday 6th, Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th, Monday 9th Aug
Then next round 26-30th Aug, then Sept 10, 11, 12th, Senior Football Championship final scheduled for 3rd October
