No real surprise - ONeill would have to be mad to take the NI job at this stage. Magilton, Dowie etc have more to gain to drop down to that level.

I would be surprised if he ever takes it Nifan, would have thought that if he ever goes into International management it would be the Ireland job he would take.
I suspect it would be the England job before the Ireland one !

Don't know about that, is there now not a campaign to get England an english manager.
Anyway he wants back into club management, he'll be the next Liverpool manager. You heard it here first.

Watched the "debate" (more a Q&A session) last night, thought that Miriam O'C was shocking in her disdain for, and treatment of Martin McG. That aside I thought that Martin dealt with the attacks well enough (felt he put her in her place once or twice) and it was nice to see the majority of the other candidates not use O'Callaghans readily provided knives to attack him with, except that leech Mitchell (but sure what would you expect from a pig but a grunt anyway).
Gallagher was very poor last night and this should reflect in the next set of polls.
Norris is growing on me, in the sense that he makes me laugh and he seems to have a good heart and soul, but would never vote for him, he's like your old great-uncle who never married and is always pissed, nice bloke but not a Pres.
Michael D...... ah ffs, twee wee paddy of the 40's-50's Hollywood variety, I couldn't take him seriously even if he was standing in front of me. Nice man but please, would he even last the 7 years?
Mary who?
Mitchell, started with attack MMG agenda, had to give up on that 2 thirds of the way through the show as no-one bar Miriam was interested, another poor show, never mind sure he has his expense account to go back to.
Dana - WTF was that statement all about, thought that she was going to start bawling, Miriam O'C was desperately trying to get her to spill the beans - any word on what its all about, or was it just attention seeking?

Oh, I dunno. Perhaps Garda Commissioners comments, Ministers for Justice comments....

Do you honestly believe he "left" the IRA in 1974.

How do you leave the IRA anyway. I wasn't aware of an exit strategy bar being killed - esp back then at the height of the Troubles.

Hands up who believe he left the IRA in 1974? If you don't, then he is a liar.

I'll take the man at his word.

It would be easy for someone to accuse someone else of being a thief, the accused says he isn't, the accuser calls him a liar - who do you believe?

"Garda Commissioners comments, Ministers for Justice comments" - the Gardai weren't exactly renowned for there high quality intel capacities and the Minister for Justice.... your having a laugh, right?

I disagee Lynchboy 100%

Are you telling me that the IRA unit that kidnapped Don Tidey did so on their own bat. Not on your nelly. From my recollect and reading (and if I am wrong I apologise) the only operation not sanctioned was the Adare robbery.

McGuinness is a liar. A charming liar - given. But a liar.

Your evidence of this is....................?

Call the attack off lads - I knew he was messing :)

I did look at other hobbies honestly :) Playing a bit of 5 aside isnt keeping me occupied and i've wasted enough time watching crap on tv.

I thought the BBC had stopped showing 6 county soccer matches!  ;)
Good luck with the degree.

I think the BBC documentary was a radio program called 'if the cap fits' aired on Radio Ulster 12.30am  yesterday (Sunday)
and it will be repeated on Thursday.

Meanwhile Armstrong can 'talk' to players already declared for the FAI to try and persuade them to switch to the IFA but
the FAI are supposedly 'tapping up', 'kidnapping'  when they allegedly approach NI players ::)

Armstrong extrapolated further,
"Because of the Good Friday Agreement if you are born in Northern Ireland you can play for Northern Ireland or you can play for the Republic of Ireland."

Well Gerry, in the scheme of things, the GFA means féck all to eligibility. (Most) anyone born on the island can declare for the FAI under article 15 and the same goes for (most) any first generation, born anywhere in the world. They could do so before the GFA, just the same as they can do it now.

Sometimes Gerry Armstrong would make ya want to puke.

the FAI are supposedly 'tapping up', 'kidnapping'  when they allegedly approach NI players ::)
If you do no think there is any truth in this then you are being naive in the extreme
PS - What precisely has big Gerry done wrong?
Seeing as you a bit slow I'll spell it out again

When the IFA/Gerry approach a FAI registered player, it's called talking to the player to persuade him to turn tail and head for the IFA.
When the IFA refer to the FAI alleged approaches to NI born players, it's called tapping up,  "they're tapping up our players"

You ask, What precisely has big Gerry done wrong?  how about being a hypocrite  as well as a complete and utter idiot on the issue of eligibility. He has not got the foggiest notion about the FiFA rules of eligibility and he puts both feet in it every time he opens his mouth.
He's a walking talking Mr Maggoo.
Gerry isn't approaching southern born players and asking them to declare for the north. He's approaching northern born players and asking them to play for the north. The FAI are approaching northern born players and asking them to play for the south. Clear difference.

Is there any evidence of this? (Honest question)

There are two sides to any story. There are two sides to the question whether the Earth is flat. Doesn't mean you should give equal weight to both sides

There is overwhelmingly conclusive proof that the earth is round. There is no evidence what-so-ever to prove who fired the shots that killed the two men.

There is overwhelming evidence that the dead would be alive were it not for the kidnapping. Also describing something as being lost is not the same as saying it was 'lost' by the Gárdaí. I haven't seen the IRA hand over much evidence on the killing.
...maybe stating the obv, but if they didnt do it, maybe they have no evidence to hand over...

this 'argument' is getting rather silly.

Sorry for the kelly chap as his father was killed, but confronting mcguinness today was a very misguided stunt.
Almost went right for mcguinness's pres rivals, but not quite.

Why choose now to start asking questions?
Is this just another victim being used by the media or "establishment" to try and blacken the name of MMG.

VERY good Ulster draw!!!!! Down for Ulster SFC final appearance at least!!! Looking forward to a day out in Enniskillen to start off with

You would say that.  :D ;D ;)

It will be a hard ask for Donegal to retain the Anglo-Celt this coming year!
But the team should improve on some of this past years performances and Jim will be a year more experienced (and hopefully a wee bit more attacking).

Can some of the so called experts provide details in the good margins on food? I'd argue the other way but it would be interesting to see what sort of margins your forecasting ;)

Can't get figures atm but have family and friends in cafe/restaurant/ hotel businesses and the margins are there.

Simple example, 5 stone bag of spuds costs a couple of quid think how many chips that makes?  ;)
Restaurant side order of handcut chips (one or two big spuds) - £3.00
Cafe bag of chips (three or four spuds) - £2.00- £2.50 in fairness frozen precut chips for a takeaway could workout cheaper, but then the quality goes out the window. Even after costs (staff, oil etc...) is taken out the margins are massive.

Don't listen to this idiot. I'm unsure what clientelle you are aiming for but in fairness we have all moved on from being seduced (and can tell too) by home made chips over frozen chips  ::)

There used to be time you could serve up any shit and no one knew better in this country. Unfortunately the tv food programs have educated us (well make us think we are) in what is quality food.

You may disagree with what I said, but I said it was a simple example, now if you want to refute it go ahead, but no need for the personal abuse.
