I'm sickened by this incident of violence in more ways than one. Apart from a man left fighting for his life (probably losing an eye) after a needless attack, motivated by pure thuggery.

This kind of event is happening all over the country, but it takes a tourist to get the media & government to get into a mass frenzy. If this happened to Jimmy from Swinford on a night out in Ballina, very little would be heard about it in national circles. Yet an all media & government narratives talk about equality, some people are clearly more important than others. God for bid the Irish are shown to the world for the inbred f&ckwits we are.

Then there is McEntee, a useless excuse for a minister. More concerned about minority transgenderism than more important issues like ordinary decent folk getting their brains bashed in for no reason. No reform of the judicial system, instead some hate speech bill, which will only divide society further.

Subjected myself to about 20 mins of the France v Jamaica game. It isn't great stuff. Very hard to watch. A lot of poor 1st touches. Not for the faint hearted.

Also I see Canada have the first Trans AND non-binary player. How you can be both I don't for the life of me know. More nonsense.

Justin Trudeau?

Bit of a strange one to be posting up at this time of year, but we are in our final year with all the kids still believing so wanted to try and book a good one for the last time. We usually try and book away for the night and make a weekend of it, We've done a fair few. Mostly around NI but also centre parks.
Just wondering if anyone could recommend one plus a nice family hotel to stay at. Happy to travel but ideally 2-3 hrs from Tyrone. Someone mentioned Palmerstown?

Have been to

Santa's cottage newry
Donegal Lapland
Innisowen gateway hotel
Todd's leap, Ballygawley
Centre parks
Jackson's hotel
Oakfield park

Any good ones down south?

Wild Ireland, near Buncrana, do a trial also around Christmas.  Self-guided iirc. Only lasts an hour or so but ok.

The older I get, the more shite these experiences become! Thought the experience in the Mourne mountains was the best, maybe because it was the first! One of those mentioned here, included a Santa who was so drunk he vomited while we were in the room. Went to an outdoor job over the bridge in Derry last year, thought it was awful. Oakfield in fairness was decent, but unfortunately its mostly outdoor & was raining heavily the evening we went.

A friend of mine brought his kids to Lapland, reckons it was very expensive but well worth it.

Times are moving on, the kids grow up awful quick, personally if i was to do it again would take the hit & go to Lapland. They are only young & innocent for a short time.

Shane Ryans hit on McGuigan was deliberate. Protecting himself my hole, he eyes him up & throws his back end into McGuigans head. Kerry are as dirty as you get anywhere. Really hope Dublin bate them.
That challenge could have broke McGuigans neck, GAA needs to get real about head high challenges. McGuigan was a sitting duck, Ryan a complete arse, with scant regard for player safety.

Richard Hughes half back for Roscommon, probably should have seen more game time this year. Very speedy player. Nice soccer style finish.

2 very good semi finals.  Monaghan & Derry a tad unlucky. Quarter finalists need a minimum of 13 days rest.

Today we have two equally rested teams playing each other.

Why did the GAA have to create inequalities in the QF stage?
I was thinking the same thing

Plus 1, Mayo or Tyone not given any chance.
