Favourite song of all time has to be And a Bang on the Ear by The Waterboys. I grew up with that song in my head. Story goes my owl man went to work in London for a few months when I was a youngster, he came back with a mixed tape with Steve Earle and The Waterboys and various other songs on it, and I used to listen to it flat out. Which I suppose would be true enough, Because I cant remember ever not kowing all the words to that song, if that makes sense. Every time I hear that song it makes me think of him. Apparently because I was so young and he had been gone for so long, Ma said when he came back, I nearly didnt know him, and would be scared of him, but when he played this tape and that song in particular, I had a big smile on my face. Im gunna get all emotional here, better stop talkin...

Did Cork win the football and hurling all-ireland titles in the same year?? In the late 80's or something?? Not too many counties boast strong teams in both codes. Cork and Galway are the only 2 teams that are really capable of pulling of such a feat at the minute..?
