Can i ask when the last time was you attended a Limerick match?

2005 but have seen them implode enough times on TV simply not to rate them.

Firstly Limerick play more of a mixed game, they use the hand passing game well and also like to kick direct into the inside line, where as Kildare continue to over-use their handpassing game

Your first faux-pas, Kildare have moved away from this under McGeeney and against Cavan the ball was moved into the inside line very qucikly.

If Kildare decide to play John Doyle at centre forward

Your second faux-pas, Pauric O'Neill will be playing at centre-forward as he did the last day, he's a very physically imposing kind of player and will be a handful.

i expect veteran Anthony Rainbow to be in for a torrid time of it

Your third faux-pas, Rainbow will not be playing Sunday and I'd be pretty sure he won't even come off the bench. Anthony's star has finally burned out.

Lastly, i am not for one minute underestimating Kildare,

Actually I'd say you are and in fact I think you are over-estimating Limerick. This is probably the highest profile game Limerick have ever started as favourites, Ian Ryan's profile has never been higher and I can guarantee you he'll recieve a lot more attention from Kildare than he did from Meath. Limerick are faced with a different kind of pressure, conversely I expect KIldare to drive on from last Sunday. It's going to be very tight and goals could prove decisive, Kildare to edge it 2-9 1-10.

Limerick v Kildare- are the Kildare fans going to travel in numbers Dinny? - if so expect well over 10,000 . If not 6,000?

Won't be big numbers. maybe 3-5K, would expect the crowd to be about 7K in total, Limerick seem to have very few supporters..

Not that I'm bitter but I would like to see Limerick do well as I would always support the underdog.

Kildare could be said to over rely on Johnny Doyle as well, so the winning and losing of the game may well come down to possession

Not so much this year AZ, Alan Smith is a very cultured footballer and will get you scores and Pauric O'Neill has been a big loss and his return to fitness means he'll get scores too. Dermot very rarely loses midfield battles so I think we can win enough possession especially with Foley back from injury.

Everyone seems to ignore Limericks pitiful display against Tipp, a team Westmeath put to the sword, for all their dominance against a Meath side they still only scored 12 points and in three championship games have conceded 6 goals. If Kildare perform I think they will win, big big if mind.

Limericks attack is very dependent on one player, Ryan scored 3-7 against Meath, 5 points against Cork and 3 against Tipp. In fact Limericks points tally 8, 12 and 12 in three championship games is not very convincing.

I don't believe Kildare are as bad as people seem to think we are, we have better footballers than Limerick, what they lack is confidence and belief that is the only thing that will cause them to lose to what I see as very average Limerick team.

I expect Limerick to beat Kildare this coming Saturday, that is if they manage to keep their heads down and ignore the hype.  They certainly are the better footballing side of the two teams.

Gnevin had an opportunity to take down what was an offensive picture to posters and to GG himself, it was also potentially libelious. He refused to do so, the moderator was within his rights to ban Gnevin, the ban I believe was has harsh and should only be temporary and we need to be consistent in the application of these bans.

I actually think Gnevin is a valued poster if somewhat sensiitive as regards all things Dublin.

MCD brought legal action against Boards.ie for defamation, there is no such thing as free speech on the internet in Ireland or the UK even Google were sued for defamation last year, our defamation laws are very draconian so common sense has to be applied.

Over 12k in Newbridge to watch Kildare on Saturday night, fantastic effort from the Kildare supporters. Don't think any county that hasn't been in a provincial final for 5 years or had only won 1 competitive game all year bar Dublin would have that support.
