Saw the game was abandoned on twitter because of an injury. How serious was it?

Was at the match, Downpatrick leading by 11 pts with less than 10 mins left. Then there was a huge mill, can't really say who started it. Two players down, ambulance was called, not sure why they didn't finish the game under lights

Heard the young fella was kicked in the head twice by a DP player who has previous of assaulting people on a pitch. Any truth in this?

Anyone any idea why Dublin have a different sponsor for this game on their jerseys?

One thing I like about Poacher is his enthusiasm for the game. He was our clubs senior manager when I was still a minor and had us training with the senior team as and when we could. Really made us feel like adults around the age group when others start pissing about and quitting football. I'm sure hes made plenty of other players feel like this and he'd be a great addition to anyones background team in a county set up.

I think it depends on your age, I'd be very much in the Maradona camp too but would respect people's opinion of including Messi and Ronaldo into the debate.

Maradona was a Street fighter, still is  :), in a way neither of those guys ever had to be.
I don't get the whole Maradona hype. I know he basically won the world cup on his own in 86 which was probably his best season in his peak, but comparing that to what Messi did in 2012 is ridiculous. I mean 91 goals in 69 games and probably 30+ assists. Those numbers will probably never be seen in my lifetime again. If I were to rank them I'd go 1. Messi 2. Pele 3. Cristiano Ronaldo. 4. Maradona 5. George Best

Wooly mentioned in his podcast that he was flat out waving imaginary yellow cards and at one point made the substitution signal to the Laois bench to get one of their men off. Fair to say, Colm hasn't much time for him!!

Think he coaches the St. Louis Kilkeel team in the MacRory cup as well. Marty Clarke seems to have an awful lot of time for him. . . Brolly is not a fan!!
He never coached St Louis. Was An Riocht manager when Martin came home from Aus the 1st time so would have been Martys coach. Think hes away to Lismore in Craigavon now that St Columbans has been merged with St Louis

Was just watching the Down vs Kildare match from 2010, and the difference between this Down team and then is unreal. Sure Down had a better squad back then but that Down team did everything at 100 miles per hour; tacking, breaking forward and forward movement.

Any idea where the donegal game will be? Armagh would be the more logistical place but heard someone at the match last night say it may be in clones?

Watching the game back on iplayer I think McKernans black card was harsh. He wrapped his arms around the antrim defender who just sandbagged himself to the ground and mckernan goes down with him. Stupid stuff from someone who was playing very well but he does have a track record of picking up these silly cards

Still pretty random and irrelevant. I don't remember a wing half back with a shellfish allergy.
Jesus who pissed in your cornflakes. Its just a comment on how every keeper picked for Down over the last decade or so always seems to be right footed

That keeper could also have a good future in nets for Down been a long time since I remember a left footed goalkeeper for Down
Haha! WTF?
The U20 keeper not Liverpools

Good win for Down without really getting out of 3rd gear. Very impressed by the defence and shay millar up front. Donal was his lethal self as well. Him and Harrison had a field day 1 on 1 with there men. Was seriously impressed by the U20's. Some very well developed players in that team like Laverty, Guinness and McConvey. That keeper could also have a good future in nets for Down been a long time since I remember a left footed goalkeeper for Down
