I'll have a stab. Is it just the 15 best footballers or do we need to do positions? 15 best footballers from what I've heard and seen...

Jim McKeever
Sean O'Connell
Paddy Bradley
Anthony Tohill
Tony Scullion
Dermot McNicholl
Kieran McKeever
Gerry McElhinney
Fergal Doherty
Sean Marty Lockhart
Joe Brolly
Henry Downey
Brian McGilligan
Joe Irwin
Frank Niblock

For a poll like this I am still fairly young to be judging our greatest ever but I have been reliably informed about O'Connell, Irwin, Niblock, McElhinney and McKeever that they deserve inclusion. Maybe younger players like Doherty/Lockhart could be swapped for some of the Gribbin's or maybe someone else I've missed out on but in my mind Doherty is the best Midfielder around at the minute (Bar none!) and Lockhart has been outstanding for well over 10 years at this stage.

Maybe some of the elder statesmen of Derry could put up a better list as I'm sure I haven't enough Ballinderry/Bellaghy/Lavey or Bridge men on the team.

Again i would be lying if i said that i have seen all of these players in their prime  but my top 15 in no particular order/ position are

Jim McKeever
Sean O'Connell
Henry Downey
Tony Scullion
Kieran McKeever
Anthony Tohill
Anthony McGurk
Roddy Gribben
Brian McGilligan
Enda Gormley
HF Gribben
Dermot McNicholl
Joe Irwin
Paddy Bradley
Fergal Doherty

Others who came close are Laurence Diamond, Johnny McGurk, Patsy McLarnon, Sean Marty and Enda Muldoon

He has excellent perception when it comes to those who are susceptible to mild hypnosis. I remember a girl saying he convinced her her favourite jumper was green when it was blue whilst on stage, through speed of questioning and controlling her responses.

I bet the dirty fecker uses the old trickery to convince girls to do more than think their favourite jumper is green  ;)
Methinks not , he bats for the other side

Wouldn't have had a lot of time for his views but would have admired his conviction.
Wont be shedding any tears

Raising sand - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
Quite possibly the best album of 2007.
I'd second that.Elbow or Glasvegas for the best of 08

Didn't wee Pete 'retire' McGurk in the 96 match with a tackle that got him sent off ( to a standing ovation)?
I think it was the man mountain Paul McFlynn that Big Peter hit with the Judas tackle but it was later than 96

A mate of mine started work in an engineering company many moons ago ,and on his second day was sent over to the office to see if the Fallopian tubes had arrived in yet

Have never watched any previous series of X Factor but have to admit I am following it this year due to the local intrest. Whether he wins or not I Just hope that he is well managed, as it could be the ruination of a 16 year old cub ( in saying that I've no doubt I'll be in McReyonlds cheering him on)

Is it just me or doe the BBCNI news always refer to Derry as "Londonderry" all the time now. It used to be that they would have included Derry to keep both sides happy but not anymore. Am I going mad or what
Nope , definitely not just you ,just listen out to Angie Phillips doing the weather for further confirmation of your suspicions

Was over in Philadelphia staying with friends in the North East and as precious posters stated there are some nice areas but a hell of a lot of dodgy ones, We stuck to supping in the Plough and the Stars and never had any bother

Ciaran O'Neill from Antrim was a class act for Antrim who would not have looked out an place on any County Team

Or maybe Damian O'Hagan

OK the difference of opinon is on whether Pascal Canavan cut Barton open under both eyes before being sent off.

It happened right in front of me - from memory (I was only a cub) but yes Barton was cut badly.  Under both eyes I cannot be sure but defo blood there.

No he definitely wasnt cut
