Another famous example was Ardboe having to play midweek after they lost to Dromore in championship final http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_G26UKH8Kk

Augher will never get a better chance than this...................playing a team out on their feet and carrying a lot of injuries, a team that will find it difficult to get motivated having beaten a major rival on Saturday. A very fit Augher team with Cassidy going really well at midfield could cause the upset of the year!!!!!

Greencastle v Eglish 8.30pm Fri 6th Sept Omagh - Neither team going well, big chance for both to get rare senior championship win, possibly Greencastle first - close but go for Eglish

Augher v Donaghmore 6pm Sat 7th Loughmacrory - On form Augher but they did not have a good record in Intermediate championhsip football. Donaghmore may be missing players so will go for Augher

Trillick v Ardboe 6pm Sat 7th Pomeroy  - Trillick are better than most think and Ardboe need to prove they are back up among the elite - Ardboe narrowly

Derrylaughan v Coalisland 6pm Sun 8th Edendork - Coalisland

Cookstown v An Charraig Mhor 8.30pm Fri 13th Omagh - Can Cookstown do it? I suspect that they will need to be on top of their game and an inconsistent Carrickmore team to have an off day.....how many off days do they have in the championship though......Carrickmore to win

Killyclogher v Moy 5.45pm Sat 14th Galbally - Killyclogher doing well and if they curtail Sean they will win - Killyclogher

Clonoe v Omagh 3pm Sun 15th Dunmoyle - Hardest to call as Omagh have had 6 players on county panel and are very hard to judge - surely they have the players to make a breakthrough but i think Clonoe will be very keen to avenge last years defeat and i think they may just do it - Clonoe

Dromore v Errigal Ciaran 6.15pm Sun 15th Carrickmore - Enda will be a massive loss to Errigal and this swings the balance in favour of a strong Dromore team - Dromore

Galbally v Gortin    4.30pm   Sat 7th   Loughmacrory - Gortin won last year but Mossey playing for a club in London will be a big loss and makes Galbally favourites as they are in better form this year - Galbally

Brackaville v Dungannon   4.30 pm   Sat 7th   Pomeroy - Close to call - both clubs taking to Intermediate well - Brackaville have better record in championship but i will go for the Clarkes this time.

Stewartstown v Kildress   DRAW  4.30pm   Sun 8th   Edendork - Another very close tie - Kildress have struggled but had a good win in last game while Stewartstown are a big strong side and may take advantage of the fact that Gareth Devlin is playing even though he got sent off recently according to Clarshack! Stewartstown

Pomeroy v Strabane   8.00pm   Sun 8th   Omagh - One of the best teams on their day Pomeroy have fallen away badly in championship in recent years - Strabane have not done well in championship either so something will have to give. Maybe the fact that Pomeroy are in U21 final will quench their hunger and Strabane may come through - Strabane

Eskra v Edendork   4.15pm   Sat 14th   Galbally - Not getting any easier to predict, Edendork won this league clash well but Morgan will be a big loss - winners of this game will have a good chance of going all the way - Edendork just

Clann na nGael v Urney   5.45pm   Sat 14th   Strabane - Urney should win this won handy

Derrytresk v Rock   1.30pm   Sun 15th   Dunmoyle - Rock having surprisingly poor year and are in big danger of going down - Derrytresk had a lot players away in the summer but should all be back and if they get back to their early season form they may come through - Derrytresk

Aghyaran v Moortown   4.45pm   Sun 15th   Carrickmore - This may be closer than imagined but still expect Moortwon to win.

Noticed on the teamtalk website that Stewartstown drew with Pomeroy last night and Gareth Devlin top scored. Thought he got a straight red card a couple of weeks ago........anyone care to explain how that worked??????? Is this the wink wink nudge nudge disciplinary system in operation!!!!

I note the Moortown v Strabane game did not take place. Do Moortown get the points for this one? Same as Clonoe getting points when Trillick failed to show??

Anyone know about the email campaign going on to get club games called off this weekend? Think it was generated by Trillick and they have been asking for other clubs to support them.
If the games go ahead will the county minors be allowed to play?
Who is in charge of club fixtures? Could they verify things as there is a match in Dublin that some people might want to go to!!!

The only club games they are interested in are the championships as they get money out of those. And that money goes to help running the county teams! The club leagues really get in the way and that is why they are treated so badly. What do club delegates talk about at county meetings?? Are they all yes men too???
Just choosing one game from this week Moortown v Strabane. Top of the table clash in Div 2 and Strabane will have to play without Danny McBride but PJ Quinn will be playing for Moortown. Maybe the County Chairman will step in yet!!!
Wouldnt have minded a night in Dublin either :).

It would be unbelievably harsh if Tyrone were to lose Penrose and Gormley for the bit of handbags that went on. Looking at the Miskella and Connolly incidents they should both get off. The start of the second half in the Cork v Kilkenny hurling match was much worse yet nothing happened.
I have to say there has been a lot of apathy in Tyrone so far this year with supporters not turning out in huge numbers. I would say this is not the best Tyrone team we have seen and they do not play an attractive brand of football but you do have to say they have done remarkably well to get to the last 4 and are getting the very best out of themselves so all credit to them and the management.
The fact that they are doing this in the face of the media vilification coming their way, this proposed ban of Gormley and that they are facing a very good (not unbeatable) Mayo side should really build a siege mentality within the squad and hopefully within the county. Tyrone people should turn out in force on the 25th and give the team their backing. Its us against the world............

I dont know how round 7 can be played next Friday night - I mean Urney travelling to Moortown (2 hrs i would say!), Aghyaran to Galbally, Clan na Gael to Edendork, even Killyclogher to Ardboe and Brackaville to Eskra are right spins!!!

Lads, does anybody know the craic with the club leagues after this Sunday? Under 21 championship starts the following week and seems to dominate the fixtures up to 9th July. With Tyrone minors and seniors in action does that mean there will be no league football? And then will there be a break for the holidays as well?? Just trying to plan a few days away and looks like a good chance if someone could confirm whats happening. Thanks

Fair play to Murphy - respect his decision - he can enjoy a run of games with his club. How will that affect starred fixtures? There are a few other boys on the panel must be thinking the same unless they like being pawns in training games!!!
