One man dropped from Tyrone McKenna cup squad! Don't know all circumstances yet but at first look it seems a bit harsh! Anyone have any info for me?

heard it was a good game in the loughshore down until the last 10,where ardboe killed it off. ardboe to win G2 & cookstown to win G1, can't see past it.

Is it true Carmen & Killyclogher are appealing the county board decision to put Greencastle in the semi-final? If so, it may have a while to run yet!
Was speaking to a Cappagh man yesterday on the same. He mentioned that has all 3 teams finished level and without Kildress scores then the CCC were using 'scores for' between those games. He said CCC didnt have many options open unless the 3 teams played each other in a round robin series again!!! Unless lads away, surprised Kildress not fielding as they reached the minor final 3 years ago. Tommo2 as a cappagh gael what's your solution??? Greencastle won't be far away with Warnock & McCullaghs.

Re Kildress - I was very surprised myself the club didn't field as they reached minor final
At this grade. However with the senior season running on as long as it did I think it was prob hard to motivate mentors and players to give commitment at this time of year. Although edendork could of said the same but didn't.
That being said I still think the club could have fielded. No players away and accept for a long term injury to Conor McAleer they prob would of had a decent enough team.
Personally I think the county board have made the biggest pigs ear of fixtures I have ever seen. Is there no one on co board who could sort out this annual problem??

Is it true about the 'crown jewel' project in the middle of no where I.e. garvaghy has hit major problems? I hear the place is stripped bare!
The Contractor has gone into receivership and the un-paid sub-contractors have removed their equipment. So long as the CB have not paid for the work in advance the project should be OK.

Oh right I heard that they basically left it as a shell?

I hear wee paddy McGuigan has been recruited to plan the ambush at the lough shore by the murtin on the tones.... Hope he doesn't walk out on them before the end of the season he has form for that!

no truth whatsoever, and he may have his own reasons etc. for not finishing jobs for the full season.
Oh he's defo there ... And fair play who better to plan for that match than a moortown stalwart who knows most of Kildress players inside out! He had his reasons to leave alright as in the committee don't like me so I'll leave no matter what the players think!!! MENTAL!

Hard to believe Peter Harte got the line today considering the abuse he took - he got a yellow card for getting busted by Barry daly (who got the same???) and then got lined for trying to get away from Conor gormley who hit him 2/3 times in the mouth with the open hand and never got a yellow card. How Gormley gets away with the half of what he gets up to is a mystery! I didnt see what wee dan did but once he had Harte on the ground id hardly think he was telling him how much he loved him!
However overall I think a draw would have been a fair result - Carmen should feel aggrieved they didn't get a 45 at the end which I thought was clear as day and would have given them a chance to probably level it!
Taking finny magill off seemed a strange move considering how little others were contributin! Thought gabby mccallan and Johnny monroe were excellent for Carmen whilst Peter Harte and Canavan were good for errigal!

Ps if Tom Daley needs a new dive partner he might consider Gormley! Lol

Yeah I would say you could change approx 10 of EC players on seniors and replace them
With 10 others and there wouldnt be any change in quality obviously the likes of p Harte e mcginley and an in form daisy are irreplaceable for them!

On another note how many points this year to be safe? 10? Just wondering because surprised moortown beat greencastle yesterday considering their recent form unless they are safe and haven't the same hunger!

I don't know all of the errigal players but glad they didn't have the Tyrone senior lads past and present playing plus daisy! Although it would be a pretty strong reserve side are the following reserves just out of interest:
Paul Quinn
Ronan McCrory
Stephen McCrory
Jk
Neil mcgarvey
Caolan tierney

Kildress should have won by more but considering the weakened errigal side that's not surprising!!
