Andor is fantastic
Hadn't heard much about Andor. Does it work as a stand-alone, or how well would you need to know the entire back story?

Spent 6 nights in April this year, stayed in Hyatt Place, 39th St and 8th Ave, it was the best value we could find for a family room. Was an expensive week between flights and spending money, but everyone had a brill time. Did The Edge, Central Park, Times Square, the High line walk, the Village, Staten Island, Sunset cruise around the bay, plus a good few bars and restaurants along the way, some city.
Staten Island??
Yes, Staten Island ferry to head to the Empire Outlet stores, ferry was fine, stores weren't good.

Yes, so talented - to think that the others outlived her is mad

Ball hits tucked in arm or hand, then carry on. Ball hits outstretched arm or hand, then judge whether an advantage was gained from this action.Quote from: thewobbler on November 28, 2022, 09:19:43 PM
I get what people are saying with regard to rules. But it's beyond completely f**king daft that intent should be used to evaluate handball as a foul, when intent is not a factor in any other type of foul.
The rule on handball would be so much easier to accept and interpret, if the subjective assessment centred on "did that handball gain his side an advantage that otherwise would not have existed?", rather than "did he mean that? No, of course he didn't mean it... soccer players don't use their hands... so move onto the next criteria".
I agree, tho in the competitive world of soccer you'd start to see forwards trying to gain an edge. Blasting the ball at defenders hands etc. it's just one of the things where there's no perfect solution as there's too many variables.
In my experience, anyone who's ever played ground ball gets one on the arm or hand every once in a while - and knows straight away whether their hand should or shouldn't have been in that place.

Every fifth child born in the world in Chinese.
My brother has five children, so one of them must be Chinese. It could be Peter, or Niall, or Ying-Tong, or Stephen, or Sean. But I think it's Stephen.

At work, so not watching, only following updates.
Ireland screamed out of the blocks against England and were 100/1 after 12 before collapsing to 157 all out at 19.1 overs.
Ireland holding their own bowling-wise.
England currently 105/5 after 14.3 overs and rain has stopped play. If it doesn;t start in next 5 mins, Ireland win!

India v Pakistan always worth a watch, 90K attendance, great rivalry. Demoralising last ball defeat for Pakistan. Great game
Incredible game. Last over was bonkers.
Kohli's 2 sixes in the second last really got into Pakistan's head. Pakistan seemed to bank on closing it out before the last over. Leaving Nawaz to the last was a risk
