I'm not sure that the process being hoped for here has anything to do with the DUP. To my mind, the original £62 million is sitting there for this stadium and I'm assuming the GAA will stump up their £15 million. The planning approval is in place.

The extra money is never going to come from Stormont but possibly from another body who are pushing for the Euro bid.

What is it you think the DUP could object to? The release of the £62 million?

Speaking of money ,  I Just heard that  Biden was in the north 17 hours  and it cost £17 million .  Who's paying  for that?   At the same time,  police  numbers are to be reduced . That's a lot of police officers salaries there

17m is   about a  seventh of the 120m (so I hear) of casement cost

It's   funny   That money can be found when  it's  needed , yet they can't give  nurses a raise , nor find money for  kids meals
Madness. Assume that comes from Stormonts budget? Madness.

The figure widely quoted was £7million, not £17million.

That's £7million out of ~£14billion. Or, about 0.05% of annual spend. Some would say that's fairly cheap for getting the leader of the world's largest economy into town for the night.

Interesting Armagh team
OgBurns dropped
No o Neill nor murnin on the bench
Nugent  also on the bench
Morgan starts

Rafferty
Morgan forker Mc Kay
Mackin Mc cabe Mc Cambridge
Mcpartland crealey
Campbell grugan Duffy
Hall turbit kelly
Good to see Morgan and Crealey back, we'll need both if we're going to get anywhere this year. Wouldn't be surprised to see one or two changes, Jarly Og and Nugent possibly in.

This named team will hardly start, will it?

When have Armagh ever started with the actual team that was named? I can't remember them ever doing it in recent times so there will be changes.

Burns and Nugent will definitely start if fit. If they don't then I can only presume that both are carrying knocks and aren't being risked. The more worrying fact is that neither Rian O'Neill nor Murnin are even in the 26 man squad which will leave them short of full fitness for Cavan if they even make that game.

Armagh started as named against Galway, Donegal & Kerry. So only in three of their last four games...

Quite likely they will start as named on Saturday evening too.

Solid first half from Armagh, but a systems failure in the second. Worrying that they still have that in them, I had thought the structures and experience was there to make it a thing of the past.

In the relegation mix now, remaining home games will be vital.

Greenwoods ability make this a huge dilemma, you've a player who potentially can be one of the worlds best; If he wasn't in that bracket I suspect they'd just pay up his contract but there's no doubt someone would sign him and 12 months down the line he'd be back playing for a top club. Football fans are fickle and the abuse will eventually simmer down. Suspect Ten Hag will want him  back but the sponsors will obviously have a huge say in this, if this had happened last month then he'd probably have gone overseas on loan.

The story around Manchester is that they were back together last summer so it was surprising to see him charged in November, unfortunately this case has done nothing to help rape victims.

It doesn't really seem like a huge dilemma. Pretty simple that he never plays for the club again (nor any other club in England, even Chelsea) - short of some extraordinary information coming to light that credibly dilutes the seriousness of what everyone knows went on here.

Whatever about his ability or value, right now he's commercial kryptonite. Playing him would cost the club much more than what they lose by ditching him.

United's own 'process', as per their statement, is a just a play for time so that they can get their legal and financial ducks in a row. It's unlikely the Glazers fancy shelling out the £8-10 million for the remainder of his contract at a time when they're looking shot of the club - so this 'process' could well drag on until new owners are in place.

Whole thing is a mess for the club, would've been much better to see him go down. Which is also what the pathetic **** deserved.
Look at Partey at Arsenal. Alonso actually killed someone and played for Chelsea. I would rule nothing out

Partey hasn't been charged yet and details aren't out as they were with Greenwood.. I'm an Arsenal fan and don't think Partey should be playing with the investigation going on. Mendy at City is interesting too, he's been found not guilty of a lot of charges still some he's getting re-trialled on but if hes found not guilty with them do City take him back?

The Partey thing stinks, but, as you say, the difference is that there are very few details in the public domain. Everyone can look the other way.

But even with the dropping of the Greenwood case, those audio clips and photos need an awful lot of explaining before a club with any sort of commercial presence takes him on board.

Likely that Mendy will be out of contract before there is a resolution of his cases, so little for City to figure out.

So only 1/3 of unionists now support the GFA. Would love to know their alternative. A UI can't come quick enough.

Is that anything new? Anti-GFA parties have been polling 30-35% of the electorate, and therefore ~60-70% of unionism, for years.
