Very unfortunate for the portlaoise players tonight it was a very entertaining league and 2 watery teams meet in the final best of luck of luck to them. It looks like the town 1980 has the knives out for his senior team management I'd love to say I'm shocked but you really can't buy class. Stick on the bib get comfy in the corner of the mixer slap on you're mick lillis for president t shirt and talk absolute nonsense you troll maybe show people the picture of you as a sub on the junior A 2005 team .
Portlaoise as a club don't deserve to have "supporters" like you cutting them to shreds. To all the real supporters best of luck In the championship. OR as the blow in second generation dub the Town 1980 calls it CHAMPO

Absolutely crazy that courtwood won't get promoted even if the win the final (provided they they get there). Much better format that the top 2 play off. Or we could leave the dark age and the team with the most points at the end of the season actually win the league. This would improve intensity for each match..relegate 2 that seems to work keeps teams going to avoid the drop..

O Dempsey s bottlers my town to get over graig and win the league
Bottling is when you have a full team and don't produce a performance.
Not when there is 7 first team players missing and 4 junior c players jump in to give a team a hand out.
Very easy to be vocal while supporting a club which would never have to face a scenario  like that.
They did themselves and club proud.
I'd say the town 1980 would be the first to cut the back of his own club and players.
If they  get to the final best of luck to the players on the portlaoise team.
Not to the faceless keyboard warrior slobbering on himself in the corner of the mixer

Wow who needs critics and opposition when you have "supporters" like this. If you light a few candles maybe wicklow will win and you can sit in the corner of the manhatten mixer slobbering on yourself saying I told you so. Just make sure you don't get dribble on your mick lillis for president t shirt. Run along there now we will hear from you in 2 weeks. Ah faceless scurge.
Apologies to all people who actually use this forum for discussion and supporting laois
See ye in aughrim Laois abĂș

Don your obviously not getting what I'm saying,,, tell me the lies I'm saying please???
I promised myself I wouldn't reply but here we go
You said peter o leary said that players were having the craic laughing etc at the Ballyroan festival. When he actually said the crowds were leaving to enjoy the festival..so you basically lied twice. Firstly saying peter had said something he hadn't then fabricating a story that players were running around having the laughs etc.
I hope this clears it all up as I'm uncertain they have wrote an ANN and BARRY book to explain this to you..

Town 1980 I distinctively remember peter o leary reference the crowd leaving early to go to the festival as I was thinking it myself. Please stop being so loose with your facts and comments on an anonymous forum as it has real life effects on the names you use. This is a statement I will not be replying to your badly written retort.

The GDAs (Begley excused) are not working out. Is that a job for life, or do they actually have targets? Can they just churn out year after year of muck and be allowed to continue?

Couldn't agree more donnie brennan and james kelly have turned into council workers appointed through nepotism lazy no vision but untouchable should be a clean sweep every 3 -5 years

By all accounts James Kelly is finishing up ie being sacked in three weeks time. Looks like you got your way and got a man sacked from his job based on the opinion of cowardly faceless keyboard warriors. Hope you're happy.

Yes I'm sure a few posts on a group that only a handful of people take part it lost him his job not his incompetence.
Good man

The wall is gone they knocked it last week  ;D

I'm not a creedon basher and I know how the laois inter county scene goes but my p':s was boiled  this week.2 lads called up to county after being overlooked for league all year purely to be used as tackle dummies for 6 weeks cause the "real seniors" are wrapped in cotton wool. Club are in a heap without them. If they were in genuine contention  I'd wish them well.

Anyone on this forum ever had personal experience working with any of the GDA's? What is your opinion on them and why?
See my post a few pages back. Tip of the iceberg I once asked for a look at a development plan didn't even receive an email back

The best way forward isn't a pissing contest between the obvious 4 or 5 on this group cause after yesterday no one won.
What happened was a build up of years of no real enthusiasm being put into young squads. Ive be been watching how a few of the GDAS conduct themselves and it would make you scream. The current highest coaching level is 2 in this country can you guess how many of the GDAS have attained this level ......0 in football. Basic strenght and conditioning has to begin at u 14 (this isn't weight training) things like mobility flexibility core strenght running mechanics are par for course in all top counties and they don't cost the world. How many GDAS have a qualification in strenght and conditioning wait for it .....0

I went to an under 14 match last year there wasn't even a medic there the ref on the day had to attend to the player on the pitch and carry him off.Plus the laois lads looked like rah ball rovers waiting about kicking with no purpose cause the GDA was late and he looked worse for ware on arrival.  These are small things that lead to overall standards dropping it's infectious and gets in everywhere.
Rebuild properly from the bottom get local qualified passionate people in to implement plans for the next 5 years (this is a starting point )
I can see there is talent in this county but it's raw and needs serious coaching.
