Apparently there's an ex Tyrone man over Clogher the year. Name rhymes with Big Moe. Work it out for yourselves

Heard a reliable source today say Big toe has the Clogher lads out training this week. Making a big push early in the league!

I'd somewhat agree with the post above. In north and south it takes years, literally years to repossess a property like this. The owners would have been given every opportunity to repay before this happened.

You borrow money and don't pay it back then what do they expect.

Only criticism would be in the way the repossession was handled by the northern security firm. It's obvious difficult to get people to do this kind of work, certainly not locals and so it inevitably falls to 'outsiders' to do the dirty work. If anyone knows anything about these types of firms in the north then you wouldn't be too surprised that may have some ex-paramilitary or police/army on their books, depending on which side of the fence they come from.

Don't see why so many are so quick to laud a lawless vigilante group and condone their actions which have no place in any society.

Is Gallen any better than existing keepers or is it simply that his outfield runs makes him stand out as being a bit different? Realistically that's not goin to happen at county level where stakes are too high. Yes he hits a free but so does Morgan. So based on goal keeping in the traditional sense is he any better than Morgan or O'Neill? What happened your man Fox from Killyclogher who was about the squad, has he disappeared?

Fair play to the clarkes getting promotion via the scenic route.

Tyrone club football finally finishes on 25th November, with most clubs out again at the beginning to mid January, there doesn't be much of an off-season.

Errigal v Omagh league final - Errigal seemed to have been the more impressive of the two and i expect them to secure their second league title in a row. Not the title they'd want at the start of the year but probably the most consistent team of the year and just lost out narrowly to Coalisland. They'll still think there's a championship in this team.

Pomeroy v Aghyaran goes to a replay - surprised at this given McNamee wasn't playing. Did Frank Burns play for Pomeroy, didn't see his name in any reports. On paper Pomeroy should win this but they've been poor all year and I actually think Aghyaran might squeeze through.

Loughmacrory v Dungannon - the clarkes look like they had the more impressive win up in Gortin but the lough won't fear them. Will be a tight affair and may be a year too soon for Loughmacrory.

Kildress v Beragh - Kildress were surprisingly comfortable winners over Aghaloo which many wouldn't have predicted based on form. Might give them the boost they need to stave off relegation.

Disappointing result for Coalisland on Saturday. Would love a tyrone club to have made a decent run but again we fail to make any real impact on Ulster.

Jaysis lads, any chance you could take this off to another thread? How about an East/West Tyrone split? ;)

Any chance we could get back to the football action?

What's the predictions this week. I'll go for;
Pomeroy v Aghyaran - Better team overall, if McNamee is away then they have even less of a chance.
Loughmacrory v Stewartstown - at a canter. Not sure if Stewartstown are fussed on playoffs. Lough fitter younger better and have had a very consistent league campaign. Very disappointing in the championship though.
Gortin v Dungannon - Not much between these teams. Gortin a dogged defensive outfit and the Clarkes are hit and miss. Tip Gortin on home advantage.
Trillick v Omagh - trillick should have enough here.
Errigal v Dromore - Could go to extra time. Errigal to sneak home
Eskra v Beragh - Eskra have been playing at a higher level for a number of years and that should be telling.

Reserve leagues looks to be a dead duck. Every game in the last round conceded. This is worrying. If numbers dwindle that teams can't field reserve teams and the fixture mess keeps going, the whole thing could end up in the skip.

Reserve football is dead unless something radically different is done. I'm not sure what the answer is to be honest. I don't think playing on separate days is better like they do in Down. It would actually increase the burden and commitment of your 6 or 7 reserve players who make up the bench for senior games because they'd have to play Friday night for example and then turn up for seniors on Sunday as well. It also splits club resources/support if for example reserves played on Friday and seniors trained.

All I know is that every year it seems harder and harder to get reserves to commit to it particularly because 1.there's no guaranteed matches, 2.we go large parts of the summer without a match and 3.commitment levels are increasing across the board.

Not sure where to go with it.

WT4E you say stewartstown 'duped' you. Are you saying that you had an agreement that they would give you the points (presumably in return for agreeing to move match forward) and then went out and beat you?

I've always wondered about this handing out points. How does it work. Do all 30 players need to be in on it? Does the ref? Does one team stop tackling and let the other score. Have never been on the end of it myself and wouldn't want to be. Teams get what they deserve from a season. That's sport.

How anyone can do anything other than praise Teamtalk is beyond me. So what if they make a few quid out of it, they put enough time and resources into it. They'd be complete lunatics not to try and make some money out of it.

Relegation calculations a mind field.

I expect Pomeroy to go down automatically, can't call between Aghyaran/Galbally/Edendork.

Div 2 playoffs, Lough, Gortin and Dungannon will all fancy themselves against each other. Any of them fit to be the div 1 team? Not sure.

Expect Kildress to face off against Strabane with Strabane to keep their Div 2 status.

On this weekend's affairs, fancy Tatts to continue the upsets and take Augher. Either of them will take a tanking next year but they'll not worry about that if they win. Coalisland to pip Killyclogher in a dour enough affair.

Have to say my own experience of Fr McAleer in Academy days was of a fairly decent man. Aloof yes but sure what priest wouldn't seem aloof to a school of teenage boys. Loved the football and would have had a stern word if messing about. Never saw anything physical and would be very surprised if the allegations are of a sexual nature. Think many parishioners in Donaghmore would be fond of him too.

I'm pretty sure Pomeroy, Carrickmore and Dungannon all have sh*te dressing rooms. Carmen playing surface the pick of the 3 and always superbly organised.

Another great weekend of championship action. One thing you can say about tyrone championships is that they sure are competitive.

Fancy Beragh for Junior, Gortin for intermediate and Coalisland for senior.

A few teams be kicking themselves after the weekend!

It is just me or is that not madness for a county man to book stag in middle of what is always championship time. I know the county calendar makes it difficult but jesus oh....tatts will have some chance to make a semi final now

Are many teams getting friendlies? with neighbouring counties in full swing with league and championship, they're not easy to come by unless you play within your own county. I doubt many div1 or 2 clubs want to play teams within their own league so then it's a matter of playing teams above or below you

Meyler has chipped a bone in the foot or leg apparently so that'll be him done for the season you'd imagine. Big call as to who replaces him. You could put in McClure around the middle (presumably McClure next in line if McNulty not getting a look in) or alternatively keep in Rory Brennan and push up harte into half forward line. If i was a betting man i think that's what he'll do.
I think it's important to keep mcgeary and lee brennan in reserve, far rather have them coming on for last 20 than mcshane or r donnelly. seems mad to keep your better players on the bench but that's modern football and it's all about game management.
