Nope Tyrone Tv making up for not showing last nights game by charging 13 pound- madness.

£13 for two semi finals is decent value to be fair

Junior Final fixed for 5.30pm on Sunday 7th November. Brutal time on a Sunday evening for a game - let alone a final!

Is it fixed for Omagh?
Terrible place for the junior final.
Carrickmore a great venue for the junior and intermediate final.

Do the "small" teams not deserve their day out in the County ground?

RTE showing the double header next weekend?
McBennett tweeted about showing Dromore v Trillick. I would doubt they would give up 3 hours of Saturday evening prime time to show both games.
That was precisely the setup they had last year though.
Just had a quick look at the TV guide and they did have 4 hours yesterday afternoon for the Mayo semifinals.
I was thinking of evening games.
Nearly certain last year's games (including Coalisland & Trillick) were evening games. Though last year was ages ago.

RTE are only showing one Senior semi final. Errigal v Coalisland is on the Sunday. Two double headers along with an Intermediate game each.

Errigal coalisland next Sunday ?

Yes

December, January and February would be all that most club players would want, players love playing and training you know, that's why most of them do it! If they know they have them 3 months off then they can go and plan things for those 3 months.

Going forward I think the coming season will be used to get the split right for the 4 division plan that was passed at county committee level and would have been in now only for covid. When that comes in it's 4 divisions of 12, each team plays 22 league games (play each team home and away), 11 starred which will be played while county season is ongoing and 11 unstarred which will go from mid July and be wrapped up before championship. I think the starred games should be weighted points wise (I.e 2 for winning a starred game and 3 for an unstarred game) but either way plenty of games from the start of May with championship in late Sept to mid November and 3+ months break after that, will be a great system

Surely that 4x12 system isn't required now with the split season at National level? I assume there's been no mention of it because the idea's been dropped.

It was only suggested to deal with the circumstances at the time, which have now changed.

Surely two 'upsets' today. Both Kildress and Greencastle were unusually slow and ponderous in their play. Moortown and Rock were extremely comfortable for their wins.

Hearing Mattie Donnelly heading to Ulster Clinic for a knee scan, obv the knee isnt right and likly some damage done and be very surprised if he if back for the next game but then again I woudnt be surprised if this man lined out for his club in 2 weeks, cud be thrown into edge of the square

Was definitely a subdued performance in the AIF, wonder to what extent this is already a managed case and finally the body gave way. Hopefully nothing too serious and able to rehab and get back when ready and not rushed back ahead of time only to suffer the same or worse next day out.

He tried to make a late tackle and his knee cut across the Galbally players' boot. He had a sizeable gash across the bottom of the knee which apparently cut quite deep.

Wouldn't think it's related to any previous injuries.

Having a debate here with family. Should the first colour on the tyrone flag be white and red or red and white.

White and Red.

Some of those odds look to be way out. Certainly don't seem to be taking current form into account.

Were any of the Tyrone team vacinated, cause it's looking like this was the case. The county full of anti vacs by the look of it.

Being vaccinated doesn't stop you from getting Covid and testing positive?

Nor does it totally prevent you from getting sick.

QuoteTyrone GAA Statement Re- All Ireland Football Semi-Final V. Kerry
August 14th, 2021

This morning, the Tyrone GAA Management Committee has decided that it is not in a position to field its senior football team in the rescheduled All-Ireland football championship semi-final in Croke Park, on next Saturday.
Having received expert medical opinion on the existing, and future health and welfare of the players who contracted the Covid19 virus during the period of this last two weeks, and following consultation with the team's management, this decision has been made with the greatest reluctance, and with deep regret.
It is acknowledged that the decision taken will cause major disappointment and significant inconvenience for the Association, in general, the GAA fraternity of Kerry, and especially for Tyrone's patrons and supporters, but the welfare and safety of players has been the over-riding factor in all considerations of this difficult situation.

https://tyronegaa.ie/2021/08/tyrone-gaa-statement-re-all-ireland-football-semi-final-v-kerry/

I always thought that if the number of cases was as high as rumoured that it was always likely that Tyrone wouldn't be able to field.
Probably won't ever come out but it would be interesting to know how exactly there were two outbreaks in the same squad and what sort of percentage of the squad was vaccinated.
I've younger relatives who were absolutely racing to get the vaccine as soon as they could for fear they would miss county championship games.
Hopefully none of those infected suffer any long-term damage.

Being vaccinated doesn't stop you from getting Covid and testing positive though?

Agreed that it's going to be a big issue during the Club Championship.

ticket allocation a mess, another successf from our co board and Croker..  some families not getting any, families getting double what they requested, adults getting kids tickets, kids getting adult tickets.. muppets

To be fair, it's nothing to do with the County Board. Blame Croke Park and Ticketmaster. The process of allocating tickets completely randomly is asinine. e.g. Our club chairman was allocated tickets in the upper Cusack at the very back while a friend of mine (who does nothing for the club) was allocated lower hogan. How does that make sense!?
