Slightly off topic. In Belfast for night out with the other half well earned break away from kids.

Any recommendations for good pints in belfast? Missus and I leaving the kids at the inlaws tomorrow morning.
Irish trad would be a bonus too! Tks
Maddens is a decent pint, round the corner from kellys cellars.
Thought it was a bit rough last time I was there...

It would be rude of me to not thank the posters on here for giving me a bit of backup, especially as I asked no one for it. You can't please everyone but I try my best.

Drumragh must have lost a few playoffs at this stage.. just don't seem to have that extra edge come the big games
As far as I am aware they had a number of big players opt out this year and one after the regular season ended.
In other news rumours circulating that Ryan Mayse is transferring to Omagh.

Thoughts on the junior championship? Derrytresk seem to have hit form at the right time but Aghaloo still might be too much for them. Stewartstown v Strabane is a toss up and should be a great game as there was little between them in the league. A Derryresk v Stewartsown final could be interesting.
Derrytresk vs Strabane final - just for the added Mickey Rea drama
Is Mickey Rea involved with Strabane. That is some trek from the east of the county, assuming he lives in that area.
Quote from: An Watcher on October 04, 2022, 10:26:16 AMCorrect. Strabane
If Stewartstown win the Junior Championship does second place in the league go up as a result or would beaten finalist in the championship go up?
Quote from: Fionntamhnach on October 03, 2022, 02:41:30 PMWhat was wrong with Tommy McGrath he didn't start? Herbie and Gordie also came on-a lot of birthdays thereQuote from: LeoMc on October 03, 2022, 01:54:28 PMPairc An tArthair Ui Conghalaigh?
Pairc An tArthair Ui Conghalaigh = Fr. Connolly Park, which is Eglish's home ground (also called Páirc Chormaic)**. That's surely a mistake in the fixtures DB.
As for ourselves yesterday, as I said after we beat Brackaville we'd need to be on our "A" game to beat Aghaloo and quite simply we weren't. Aghaloo's dominance of the second quarter to leave a ten point lead at half time was too much to overcome, we played well in the third quarter to bring the gap down to five but a couple of goal chances going begging as well as several wides saw heads drop and Aghaloo cement their victory. All the best to them, though over the last number of years they've been a bit of a bogey side for Fintona so the less often we meet, the better! It now means that unless Derrytresk pull off a big upset and win the JFC, we'll be facing Glenelly at home in the promotion play-offs, with Drumragh away to Strabane or Aghaloo.
