I don't think VVD has been the same player since Pickford injured him. To be fair to Liverpool last night, despite them making mistakes for at least 3 of the goals I'm not sure many teams would have lived with Madrid last night.
In saying that it did seem to be the end of a  era for Liverpool last night, what a team they were though, they were the best in the world at one point no doubt.
Klopp will be hoping to build again im sure but will he get the required funds?

Saw a clip recently of this Sam Smith fella being interviewed, apparently he likes fishing and interviewer asked would he like to be a Fisherman. Yer man Smith replies yeah I would love to be a Fisherthem. 😂
FFS what a load of nonsense that he can't even say Fisherman and used Fisherthem instead.
World is fucked.
Fisherthem doesn't even make sense, surely if anything he should have said Fisherperson.

Great game a real throwback to the old Arsenal/United rivalry where there's plenty of needle and the crowd are getting well stuck into things.

Arsenal fans are horrible though.
Arteta not very likeable either. All the John Mullane type fist pumping from the players to the crowd every time they win a free or a throw in is a bit much also.

Nice finish from Grealish there, I had just been thinking to myself how shit he is 😂

It's not a penalty. Unless we are now giving penalties for every time a player gets touched by a keeper after a shot.

Could look at it that the keeper didn't try and play the ball at all!
There was no ball to play it was being cleared off the goal line at the time.

Pretty clear pen I thought
I dunno the ball was gone, it was a coming together more than Ederson taking him out.
Arsenal deserve to be level though in fairness.

Aye perhaps I was a bit over zealous in my earlier comment. Every week I see overweight middle aged men wearing £200 shoes to parkrun. Whatever floats their boat. I'm sure they do have their benefits but for most, an improvement in lifestyle would help considerably more.
Ah sure what harm are they doing, if it gets them out the door and even if it's only just to Park Run then it's worth it in my opinion.
There was a time I'd spend that amount in a pub at a weekend. I've only just got back into running and haven't purchased a super shoe yet but fully intend to for the Dublin Marathon and I am definitely an overweight middle aged man!

Good game, pretty soft penalty though I thought.

I thought Seamus Coleman was excellent yesterday.

30km fair play.I'm getting ready to head to Trim soon to run 16km and I'm dreading it, couldn't fathom doing a further 14km on top of it, well not right now anyway, there was a time it wouldn't have bothered me to run it.
Best of luck for Manchester and also to those training for their half marathons/5kms also. It would great to hear how everyone is getting on, keep me motivated to keep going myself!

Have been getting back into doing a bit of running since the new year, used to be decent enough at it but long way from those days.
Have an entry into the Dublin Marathon sorted. I'm going to Trim tomorrow for a 10mile race and have a Half Marathon in Newry also in mind for May but not booked yet.
Have slowly but surely been building up the distance, doing all Zone 2 type efforts mainly so pretty slow but can feel the fitness building.
Anyone else training for anything?

Newcastle 1 up already which would put them 6 points ahead of Spurs should it stay like that.
The Top 4 (teams that are there now)won't be changed by the end of the season.

Big game tomorrow between Spurs and City. City will want to capitalise and turn the screw on Arsenal. But if Newcastle win this evening, Spurs need the win to stay in the hunt for CL. It's pretty clear after this weekend there are no other teams in contention.

Big results at the bottom of the table. A lot of teams there on very thin ice. If Everton get organised plenty of time to save season.
The Top 4 will stay as it is as regards what teams are in it. The positions might change but the teams in the top 4 now are the same that will be there at the end of the season.

Genuine question, but does anyone think Klopp might walk?
That team needs some serious investment and if it's not going to happen than will he walk?
FSG don't seem the sort to spend hundreds of millions in one transfer window but imho that's what Liverpool need.
Jude Bellingham for example on his own isn't going to fix that team.  Midfield and defence need massive improvements and it won't come cheap.

It will be forgotten quickly enough if he plays for United again and scores a winner against Liverpool or City or in a Cup Final. That's not having a go and United fans, it would be the same in any other club.
I can never quite grasp the loyalty some fans will have for players who happen to play for the club they chose to support when they were younger.
Ryan Giggs, John Terry, Suarez just to name a few obvious examples, grown men will defend these players as if they were family. I find it odd.
I see already people defending Greenwood now the charges are dropped.
