Anyone doing interval running? I find it more enjoyable than standard straight running.
I tailor my own - 6mph-3mph-7mph-3mph-8mph-3mph-9mph-3mph-10mph-3mph (one minute each) x 3 (30 mins)
For the likes of 10k I found myself around 5-6 thinking I'm not enjoying this. The above doesn't allow those thoughts.
Try it listening to Brian Kennedy.

Have my big 10k on Saturday now. I had done 2 5k runs at the beginning of August but the knee was at me (I've had 2 cruciate operations in the last 3 years) so had to take a break for a couple of weeks. The physio has told me I shouldn't be running on the roads but the 10k is in memory of a lad from here and I said I would do it this time so I feel I have to. Anyway I did the course the other night and broke the hour mark.
I had only meant to toodle around it to get an idea of the course but after taking 32 mins for the first 5k (with a lot of hills) I decided to push on and did the 2nd in 25.
I would like to break the 50 minute mark but is there any kind of strategy I should be using? Like I said I haven't done much training but would 5 mins hard and then 2 minutes slow get me a decent time or what kind of strategies do others use for 10ks?

Just read The Hard Way - one of the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child... Top notch stuff as usual. I find it very hard to put down any of the books in that series, normally read them in 2 or so days... Couldn't recommend them high enough
Easy reads alright though the thought of Tom Cruise playing 6'4" Jack Reacher has put me off them a bit.

Why are TV3and some posters talking about a square ball. I thought that rule was done away with except from free kicks??
Yes Mayo and Cork got similar goals in their games. Totally confused by the new rules!

Can't understand this Donegal bandwagon at all.
Kerry had the All-Ireland won with seven minutes to go and have lost one player from that team. They topped Division One of the league and are in serious form.
Donegal have achieved the precise total of fcuk all.
This reminds me of 2009 when Dublin were odds-on faves to beat Kerry in the quarters. I lumped on €200 on the Kingdom and my bet was safe after 42 seconds.
Kerry might not win by 17 points on Sunday, but I'd be shocked if they didn't win.
Kerry by five for me.

Nice moment. In what other sport in the world would you see something like this?
Almost all of them. Lets not get carried away
Yeah, it's a regular occurrence to see Alex Ferguson on the pitch at Anfield signing autographs for Liverpool fans and let's not forget the wonderful sight of Martin Johnson signing autographs in Croke Park for throngs of Irish fans or Bill Belchevik on the pitch at MetLife stadium signing autographs for New York giants fans.
None of these have ever happened. Your source is incorrect.

I read that article earlier today. I look out for his column every Wednesday now as it offers a great insight into the real nitty gritty, but on top of that its isn't the usual, short 3 paragraph job that most columnists fire out these days.
Up The Middle, anytime I am near a post of your it takes me a minute or two to get the will to move to navigate to a new page due to that wee GIF of yours. Can someone out there figure out where or what film/TV show it is from?
