Applying a filter etc doesn't introduce inconsistencies to the image like the ones here. It would be some serious image manipulation such as adding people into a picture that would introduce these types of anomalies.

Some soap opera all the same.

And it turns out the one they put out of them together in the Range Rover is doctored as well.

Some GCSE graphics student on placement in Kensington Palace is getting the boot.

I normally couldn't give two shites about them and wouldn't walk to the back door to see any of them but am interested in this in the hope that I'm witnessing an implosion and the start of the end of days of the British Royal family. Be another blow to the Union!

Derry / Re: Derry Club Football & Hurling original

Be class to see him back in a Derry jersey. He would be some addition at the minute. But wishful thinking, looking like things are starting to really take off for him on Oz and best of luck to him with it.

They came to NYC last year for Paddy's Day, but they were telling me that their friends were pleading with them not to go. The friends were genuinely terrified that my cousin wouldn't make it out of NYC alive, such was the barrage of nonsense circulating through the right wing media about the safety of NYC and other large "Democratic" cities. Never mind that crime rates are historically low, that NYC is among the safest large cities in the US, and that millions of New Yorkers go about their daily lives without incident. All lies and bullshit to those who consume right wing media and political discourse." Quote.

I've absolutely no skin in the game  think America is nuts tbh, and rotten to the core.  Both political parties controlled blackmailed or bought out by Israelis and its been that way for decades.

My daughter and son in law spent 5 days in NYC just a few weeks ago. They did all the major sights and attractions which were fine, but said that there was proper menace on every sidestreet, junkies popping out everywhere, looking like zombies. They felt like they were being followed and said it was a very unpleasant experience, because it was not an isolated thing, it was everywhere! And neither of them are shrinking violets!

Surely America can do better than put up a pervert and multiple charge sheet narcissist  and an octogenarian who sadly has lost his way. I've zero intention ever to go near the place tbh...

It is a damning indictment of the state of America at present that this is all they have to offer as the respective nominees from their parties.

It's hard to know how accurate current form is in terms of the championship.
Some teams have definitely dropped focus on the league in order to concentrate on later on.

Yes I'd hold off on any rankings until after the championship. Saying that I would expect Kerry,Derry and Dublin to reach the last four of the championship so long as they don't meet each other in the quarter finals.
Kerry and Dublin for sure but Ulster is important in terms of the seeding for the round robin . McGuinness may want to win Ulster...So might McGeeney...

Winning the province is important. Second means second choice in the round robin . Ulster runners up have a 66% chance of drawing either Kerry or Dublin in the RR.  This may mean problems later on if players are injured. Derry need a bit of luck in order  to avoid injuries and fatigue.

Sure that's true for any team.

Dubs came out with the f**k you we're the Dubs attitude and won pulling up. Bigger battles ahead surely but Derry took a big backwards step 2nite imo.

Yeah I think you are right and Micky picked a weakened side as he maybe knew what was coming. Derry a good side just not that level (hopefully it'll come)
Are Dublin operating at a level of their own (again) with Derry next in line?

Peaking too early. It's only the first few days of March.

Where is that £308 million figure coming from? I haven't seen any official figure on the cost. The costs being thrown around at the minute seem like pure speculation.

Quote from: AustinPowers on March 01, 2024, 09:50:42 PMAm I correct  in saying the original cost was £77 million? Now it's £308  million?  That is mad

Would a squad of  Polish builders do it for less?

That was 2011. GAA was not planning for a stadium that meets UEFA requirements. Even Croke Park or Páirc Uí Chaoimh or indeed any GAA stadium in Ireland would not meet UEFA requirements. Construction costs have also gone through the roof post Covid.

Yes it was 2011, but £77m was also  the cost for a  bigger stadium (38k if I recall).  So that makes the current  Price even madderer.

Why would Croke Park not meet UEFA requirements?  Sure it hosted  soccer  qualifiers. As does Landsdowne Rosd currently

What exactly  are these supposed UEFA requirements ? A heli-pad for the suits  to fly in?  A mono-rail  for  them to get to their seats?

I believe they don't allow temporary seating for the Euros which would mean the Hill end would be empty.

The main point is U.K./Ireland bid submitted Casement Park so the British government should do the honouable thing and pay up. It's not as if the Euros won't be contributing to their economy. Heaton Harris is playing to the bigots of the world with his we won't pay if it costs too much. They committed to hosting and committed to this stadium so get the wallet out.

Ha! Honourable? The Tories?!!

They'll just move the  Casement games to  Glasgow or Liverpool , and  pin the failure of NI not being involved  on the GAA, Irish  government and Sinn Fein .

How much  for a non-UEFA approved Casement ? Is it still £308m?

I was all on for the Euros coming , but between the bigoted NI fans , unionist parties,  and the Tories,  then F**k the lot of them. Screw the  Euros, just build  Casement for the GAA.

Am very much of the same mindset. f**k them at this stage. There must be private money which can be sourced to get Casement built without Tory money. I know that would come with a lot of strings attached and payback but hell rub it up them if it could be built without them.

Eight points secured four points ahead of the rest. Would be a sensible decision to rest players.

No idea if that's right or not as Derry name their team very late on these days but Cahair is prob not far off the money. A sensible decision if it turns out to be the case. We could be playing the Dubs again in a month in a league final.
Cahair has good sources he doesn't normally post articles up without getting his information correct. Will likely play Dublin in a month in the final though a League final would probably be more winnable if Dublin wasn't in it however Mickey Harte is looking at the long term and championship and feels now is the ideal time to rest players.

Hard to disagree with it. After all the keyboard experts here have been saying we've been playing too strong a team to date  ;D

Quote from: theskull1 on March 01, 2024, 09:51:03 AMYou would expect that western politicians given the values they espouse should be apoplectic with Israel to the point that they force their hand. The fact this is not happening is a massive 'tell' in regard to the Zionist influence in all  western countries now. They have it completely gamed.

And how dare anyone call Israel out without the anti-Semitic card being played? Wrong is wrong regardless of who commits these acts of pure evil.

It's a joke in this day and age with engineering that they stuck structural poles in the middle of seating blocking the view. Was that a cheap shortcut by the contractors to pocket more money?

With Tierney and Conroy now out there's a fair argument to say that Galway's 7 most important players all won't be starting. 6 out injured for god knows how long and 1 (Kelly) will be on the bench. Ive never really known a situation like it

I wouldn't give them a prayer v Derry this weekend. Boyles went up 4/6 Derry which was an uber c**k up. Now 2/5 which is a little more correct but still a couple of notches too big. The only levelling factor I could envisage is a huge wind in salthill (not uncommon) and Derry not getting to grips with it

Plenty of strong winds up around Owenbeg and Celtic Park  :D

It's a factor yes but I don't think it is any big one. It's the same for both teams at the end of the day and Derry can easily adapt to playing against a wind with their strong running game.
