Have to agree with most of the comments about anchorman here. Didn't like it at all. There was so much hype about it, the first time I watched it I thought I had missed something or had fallen asleep through all the funny parts. I was convinced by everyone that it was supposed to be the funniest film in a long time but it was pure dirt. I would actually like to watch it again just confirm that it is crap but doubt if I would get the whole way through before turning it off.

GAA Discussion / Re: GAA Time-Travel

Match I did Attend- 2003 All Ireland Final or when tyrone beat derry with 13 men
Match I didn't attend- When tyrone won the All Ireland U21 at the start of the 1990's. Heard it was some team.

If you could time travel and miss a game which one would it be?

Mine would be the 1997 Ulster Championship when Tyrone got beat by Derry 2-15 to 2-3. Very bad day at the office.

Our club uses this at the minute and it is a great job. I will find out what service they use and let you know.

GAA Discussion / Re: The best score YOU ever scored

The best score I ever got was a free kick from about 45 Yards out in an U16 match. It was a draw at the time and the referee came over and said it was the last kick of the game. Put it over the black spot. It was some feeling.

Stephen O'Neill tackled him and he got badly injured. I am not taking away from that. What I am saying is that he meant to tackle him but not injure him. There is a major difference.

A fantastic player who was virtually unmarkable on his day. he possessed power and pace in abundance and combined with his accuracy off both feet he was arguable the most potet forward in the country in the last 5 years.

However,  i'm unable to credit his virtues without mention of the dirty streak which lurked below his undoubted talent. I'm sure John toal has a little less pain in every step this morning.

Are you actually being serious. There was an accidental clash. No player would deliberatley go out to injure someone and especially an injury of the magnitude of John Toals. I would think if you asked John Toal himself he would tell you he would not have thought it was deliberate. Do you think whoever injured Brian Mc Guigans eye did it deliberately? Accidents happen so get over it.

Me and the women are thinking about heading round the world for about 6 months or so but are not sure whether or not to go ahead and do it. We are both 24. What does everyone think?

I had heard that Declan Mc Crossan had health problems like some sort of virus which brought his football to a premature end. I am not sure if this is true but he was some talent at minor level.

Why is it when somebody from the North stands up for what they believe in they are a bigot but when other people do it they are simply standing up for what they believe in? Everyone is welcome to come and join the GAA but it should not change what it stands for in order to do this.

To describe this contrived ill thought out piece as incisive, is demeaning language. From its very foundation the G.A.A. has always been clear and upfront re. its position regarding the National question. The promotion of an irish identity within a sovereign irish state, has always been a core value. Membership is open to all regardless of religion or politics. As in every field of life, people who disagree with the aims and objectives of any organisation will not subscribe to or join that organisation. That is the reasonable view of the Unionist people of N.I.   For the G.A.A. to pretend to be something other than what it is, an attempt to promote itself as a mere sporting organisation, to widen its appeal, would be dishonest, and insulting to the intelligence of both communities. You can only reach out to people by stating your position honestly and with integrity. A debate based on any other premise is a fraud.
Why cant the GAA become non political , just be a sporting organisation a kin to the IRFU ,NFL

I have to agree with Pangurban on this issue. If the GAA changed its whole thinking it would be against the whole ethos of the organisation and would be to the detrement of the organisation. I am not saying that the GAA should not be inclusive or encourage everyone to join but what I am saying is that it should not have to change what it stands for in order to do this.
