London shouldn't be fielding any Irish players, there's enough clubs to have, as their ambition, an all London team.

So you think London should also pull out of the NFL and All Ireland Championship?
An All London team with no Irish players would get massacred in both competitions. We would be talking Kilkenny-esque beatings.

Cavan have 40 clubs, Should we not get 750,000 per year for Game development if the Dubs with their 80 clubs get 1.5 million?  :P
5 years ago, Ballyhaise,Killygarry,Baileborough,Killinkere,Mullahoran and Crosserlough all had 3 teams.
32 clubs had second teams, Only two Maghera and Corlough had no second team.

Today only Ramor have a third team, and Maghera,Corlough,Shannon Gaels,Ballyconnel First Ulsters/Kildallan,Munnterconnacht, Belturbet have no second teams.

Moynagh's injury was a big blow to Cavan.

Where were Shane Carthy and Michael Deegan yesterday?
Same place as Sanky and Madden. Another Dublin tool.

Nevin O' Donnell also.

I'm guessing you lads have heard the same " whispers and rumours" over the last couple of weeks that i have. As c4ever said, its certainly not something which should be discussed in the public domain.

Some scoring by Jamie Clarke,i can see Armagh coming good this year, there is alot of talent in the county and Clarke when in form is virtually unstoppable.

Meath have serious problems in the backline it seems, 0-20 against Monaghan, 4-11 against Galway and 0-19 against Armagh. If your backs are that poor, surely the best thing to do is pack your own half of the field with a mass defence and provide them some protection.
Juice/Jinxy, would it be fair to say that it doesn't seem like O Dowd is very tactically adept???

What makes you think Armagh will come good? They've a couple of very good players but seem to have a clueless manager and beating a poor Meath team doesn't make them any good. I'd be disappointed if Cavan can't beat them. Also a one man forward line is very stoppable too, UCC hadn't much bother stopping Jamie the other day and he had some top forwards along side him too.

As for Galway, I cannot understand what they are doing with endless underage talent they produce.

If you think back to the Cavan match last year, they destroyed us in the middle of the field, and as you say only for the management stupidity of allowing Keating/Dunne half of KBP, we probably would have lost that game. I think McGeeney's addition will be a big help to them and i can't see such tactical impotence occuring in May. I still give us a great chance of going down there and beating them, but it will be close either way.

Galway are producing talent but its not going to happen overnight. Their two outstanding under 21's will form the backbone of that team going forward and it may take them a year or two to adapt to the higher standard at senior IC level.

Celebrating an individual who failed to report to Police, information which would have saved many children from years of horrendous abuse.....
Anyone who attends such an event should be ashamed of themselves, not boasting about it on a GAA discussion board.

Saw some stats on the game courtesy of @gaelicfv

Wides Cavan 10 Mayo 5.
Drop Short Cavan 6 Mayo 0.
Breaks Cavan 9 Mayo 7.
Kick outs won clean Cavan 12 Mayo 3
MOTM - Michael Argue

Looks like Cavan were very dominant. Longford lost to Offaly so they would want to up things considerably to beat us now but who knows. If Argue can continue such dominant midfield form we could afford to leave Killian Clarke at full back.

Anyone at the game to give a first hand report?

I don't think we can afford to have our best player at full back. He is too influential to be left in there.

Gutted for the 6th best forward at the college who has to now sit on the bench and watch the pensioner play in his place simply because of his high profile name.

He should be honoured to share a dressing-room with him.
+1, it would be a great honour for any young lad to play with one of the best all round players of the last 15-20 years.

Just for the Record if nothing else the County Board spend 500K on all Teams (not just the senior county team)

Not bad going see as Mayo spend over 600 K on their senior men's footballers alone!!!!

AZ is correct, there is no way a one loss team gets in over the undefeated winner of a major conference, although in saying that OSU's strength of schedule is absolutely pathetic.
Am i right in saying their SOS right now is 106??
Hopefully the Spartans can take care of business this weekend.
