Agreed , underperforming, and also in arguably the worst division in football, or at least one of them.

I'd have this as my current top 10

1. Ravens
2. Niners
3. Patriots
4. Seahawks
5. Saints
6. Green Bay
7. Buffalo
8. Vikings
9. Chiefs
10. Houston

Seanie . the Bears are a mile away from being a playoff caliber team currently? The Lions had a 3rd string rookie QB starting and without a doubt, if Stafford was healthy , the Lions would have won that game . If Stafford is healthy , I'd say the Bears are the worst team in that division. Fair play to Trubiskey, he's under pressure , but stood up when he needed to.

His only saving grace is the division his team is playing in . 9 games will probably win the East , they'll get a home game in the playoffs possibly against the Vikings or Seahawks. He'll be fired the Monday after that game ...

Has anybody watched Dream/Killer on netflix yet? Only saw it mentioned today on twitter. Same lawyer (attorney) that is currently working on Steve Avery case, was involved in this one too.

On that note - looks like another documentary waiting to be made

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-50557396

Makes you wonder how many other similar cases never get solved
I watched it all the other night. Unfucking real that it took this long for him to be released. His father deserves immense credit , came across as a decent person who never quit . I suppose any father would presumably do the same in the same situation but he seemed a genuinely good person.
Worth watching , good show.

They own the head to head against the Colts and have a better AFC record than the Titans .

By the way Clov , it's nothing to do with my personal political opinion . I didn't say that , I said that the circus following him around waiting for a misstep would be inevitable, which is a fact. I didn't say I thought this should happen, merely stating the obvious. My point is , would there be enough upside for a GM to overlook it? Would a head coach or GM or owner like the attention? He'd have plenty of supporters , but he'd also have plenty of detractors as well.

Agreed , O'Brien is hardly in the top tier of NFL coaches. As for Kap ever being regarded in the same league as Watson, Jackson and Mahomes, ah lad wil ya stop. He played 6 seasons in the NFL and only once ( barely at that ) was his QB rating over the league average of 92. His career QB completion % is about 59. He came into a team that were at that time the BEST team in the NFC.  Maybe he was blackballed out of the league l but we are talking about is he good enough  to start for an NFL team . He might be better potentially than a few currently starting, but having been out of the league 3 years , and the circus that would inevitably follow him, would you want him leading your team ?

Seanie , regardless of schemes etc , he'd be a below average QB right now. He walked into the best team at the time with the Niners , yet when they're losing it ain't him? He is 3-16 in his last 19 starts ( 3 years ago) and is at best a backup . He was figured out within a year or two of entering the league. I watched the Bears last night , every snap of that game. If you're asking me is he better than Trubiskey, I wouldn't say he'd be any better, not with the offensive talent that's there.

The Ravens are legit , arguably the best team in the NFL currently . Jackson is something else, amazing player. Really hard to see anyone else in the AFC championship game other than the Pats or the Ravens . The chiefs have to win tomorrow night or the Raiders take over the lead in the west . The NFC is very competitive, 5 or 6 legitimate contenders .

Nagy is going nowhere , the bears are done probably for the season, I'd imagine they'll just play out the season now.
I'd think Freddie Kitchens is in serious trouble in Cleveland , beat agin today by a bad Denver team. They have a soft schedule the rest of the way , I think he could be gone tomorrow or Tuesday. Probably should never have gotten that job, but that's Cleveland for you I guess. Raiders have turned it around , and are actually very good offensively , but their D is brutal....
Pats and Ravens about to start , I think the Ravens could chin them tonight...

That's why he should be sacked!
The QB will get the blame first , that's typically how it is , I'm not sold on Naggy either.
I still believe the Bears should have traded for Bridgewater last week. Trubiskey isn't the answer , it's hard to know what they do now. Cam Newton probably done in Carolina and some other free agent QBs will be on the market next year .

General discussion / Re: Lorry Tragedy
October 29, 2019, 05:28:30 AM
I've a good friend who's a driver , has been driving the continent for 20 years now. He said he saw him on the boat 2 weeks before it happened , said the way he was dressed you wouldn't have thought he was a truck driver. Very flash.
He also said, that crossing from Belgium is 8 hours I think and that the fridges are either booked as fresh or frozen . One is 0 degrees the other minus 25. When the lorries are loaded there are people on the boat who plug in the fridges to electric. My friend said that he heard the fridge was booked as frozen , but fridge set for fresh. The boys plugging it in on the boat  probably noticed it was supposed to be a frozen load and then turned the fridge to the minus 25 . Sorry if that doesn't make sense , just trying to tell it like he told me.
