I was so disappointed to be all square at 5 a piece, we had missed easy frees and shots and should have been 3 if not four up, to then hand Donegal an easy goal from Hampsey not going to the ball on a short KO was sickening. We kept Donegal in the game and then gave them the impetus to take control of the game, which they took full advantage of.  All the while you could see the players confidence dipping. Half time couldn't come quick enough to get ourselves settled. Harte was going to introduce those players anyway but the truth is he had no choice as we were toothless up front and those changes that were made were crying out for. Morgan, Big Colm, Mattie(best game the year) Harte and Hampsey were consistently good for the entire game. IMO this was game that we should have won easier and that we made more difficult for ourselves.

Seen the txt messages of communication between Ardboe and Donaghmore re the agreement to play U14 championship final in September. Ardboe did the real dirty on them, totally reneged on the agreement. Donaghmore shared this with the CB also. The big mistake Donaghmore did was failing to have this contact by email with their secretary who in turn would have cc'd in the county sec. A real judas from Ardboe. As for Donaghmore not informing the CB they were not fielding, that was bad form.

GAA Discussion / Ulsters perspective on coaching
June 12, 2018, 12:34:46 PM
Lads, unfortunately I have to say it, our view and approach to coaching in Ulster is badly infected. Look at our top counties, Monaghan, Donegal (played nothing yet, and like Tyrone last year wrecking up big scores against bad teams, but when they play a good team it will be a slug feast) and Tyrone all based on mass defense, Fermanagh who have had a couple of wins and Antrim, who have not, have tried ultra defense, brutal stuff altogether. Then you have Tally in Galway and Poacher in Carlow coaching this crap and you get the picture I am painting. We have lost the plot. Who is to blame, is it the coaching model being deliver from the Ulster council to all the counties through these work shops. Was it Joe, then Mickey, further polluted by Jim and us sheep all followed. Regardless we are going no where fast. There are no All Irelands at county level and club level in the short term that I can see. At least in Tyrone club football it mostly attacking football with plenty of good foot passing

Morgan was dropped, a liability.

For myself and all those others wondering, who is the poacher?

Are many of ye staying down the night?
Sure I might wander down mesel
Would there be bingo on anywhere in Carlow on a Sat night ??

;D ;D he is the coach. We should be talking about their manager Turlough O Brien, as he is the leader and who has turned Carlow around, similar to Rory in Fermanagh, Mickey in Tyrone, Jim in Dublin

Looks like Fekir deal will be completed tomorrow £48m
Klopp is building some squad.
Remember when Ricky Lambert was the major summer signing...

He is, certainly seems to be doing a good job, year on year building depth.

What do you call that clown of a poster who use to come on and continually criticise Flopp saying he was crap, can't recall his name?

He's a bit like thon poster magpie something or another on the United thread bumping off their manager😂😂🤡

Lads how you think RON is being hard done by due to not being selected is beyond me. He has no pace, therefore he is not dangerous. I have lost count the amount of times at club level we have played Omagh and have never given him a second thought, he can't hurt you, to slow. O Donnell and Myler on the other hand we always planned for them.

Errigal have the biggest pick of any club in Tyrone?

I would say so They take in 2 parish's, my Club Clonoe are in Clonoe Parish with Brockagh,Derrylaughan and Derrytresk!!

Poor Clonoe!!! Many a parish has two or more clubs.

Not as if the Clonoe tentacles arent stuck in every junior club within five miles.

We had one Senior player transferred to us from Derrytesk from 1990 no one from any other Club,so i am unsure what you mean...

Hughes' from Killyman?

Hughes lives besides our pitch. He started his underage career with us, left to go to Killyman and then returned to his home club. Simple as that.

The Trillick juggernaut rolls on.

Can they be stopped?  Big score of 3-10 vs Plunketts last night and last weekend against Killyclogher.  They are flying and that was without Lee Brennan.

Trillick's upward curve since their promotion via the Division 2 play-off's a few years ago has to be really admired, 1 championship already and most likely more to come in the next decade - Would it have been the same if Peter McGinnity had been given the role after they were relegated by Strabane in 2013?

Can I ask what exactly are you saying?

Any word of players going well at club level that Harte could be looking at?
Hearing good reports about Conn Kilpatrick of Edendork. and Johnny Harkin of Tattyreagh.

In our four games best 2 players I have seen was Connor Gormley and Darren McCurry.
Gormley is some warrior, he is an example for any county and club player to follow. Proper legend.

Can't disagree with that not sure on his is age must be 36/37 has been unlucky with his club in the last 10 years or so...

Unlucky, in what sense?

Unlucky that his team mates weren't as good as they needed to be perhaps

Well Omagh scored a last second goal to beat Carrickmore and both Clonoe and Coalisland beat Carrickmore in tight county finals as well.

Our game wasn't tight, won by 5 and missed a penalty, Carrickmore made a game of it as u would expect in a county final, but that wasa bout the height of it. When you win a county final by that much knowing it was won with 5 minutes to go, tight is not the definition that I would use. Comfortable would describe it better.

What a great service Armagh TV provide!! Watched on in delight at that shower of arrogant tramps get beat. Mouthing after the drawn game to the pomeroy players that they had missed their chance!!! I'm assuming Cassidy said his goodbyes after the game!!!??? Clonoes sc**bag antics found out by a far superior footballing team! For a change Clonoe didn't start a fight after getting beat. Can't believe some people are talking about Danny McNulty in a tyrone jersey! he is 3 stone overweight and unable to move. Can Pomeroy beat Errigal? Its a big ask playing 3 big games in a week but heres hoping!

This is 'driveherin' last post about Clonoe prior to todays posts. He hates Clonoe that much you really couldn't take his word on what actually happened as gospel, to much hate filled perspective.

Lads as much Tyrones shots execution was excellent, we would have to take into consideration how brutal Mayo looked, so far off the pace. Deegans not sending the Mayo player off for levelling Hugh Pat was disgraceful. Big Colms black card was very unfair as he was protecting himself from getting levelled also. Mc Nultys was a brutal challenge and a  straight red. I don't think we can read to much into this as we were so far ahead of mayo in fitness and attitude to the game to assess where our attacking plan will be improved on last years.
