There has been an 84% hike on gas prices.

As usual there is a little bit more to it than taking the number the day he came into office and the number today.

Neville be off the same cloth, hated him when he done the jersey kissing at OT after Rio's late winner but when the dust settled, all you could say was fair play, he is living his dream and not afraid to show it. Neville would rarely let you down and if he did, he felt worse about it than anyone. A player any supporter would want in his team.

Have to say I always enjoyed how much nev hated liverpool, like a fan would. A bit overrated by united fans, but horribly underrated by many others.

Highly recommended. The only downside I can think of is the annoyance of the first question people ask when you mention you use a Kindle: "Do you not miss the feel of a book?" They seem to think you have to stop reading hardcopy books when you buy a Kindle. Why do they never ask you if you miss tea when you mention you had a cup of coffee?

They annoy me.
It is even more like asking you if you miss fine china when you are drinking your tea from a mug. Some of these people seem to care more what they look like reading a book than enjoying what they are reading.

Kindle is class - the only annoying thing for me is having to turn it off during take off and landing on a flight.

US Government?! :o

NOTE: The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

So anyone who works for the government is counted here?

yeah he does, though i think hes primarily referring to other features over the iphone (it definately has the lowest specs of the 3, but not by too much) - he mentions 4g which samsung has "had for a while" (in the us - here it has been pointless so there no samsung phone bought here before would have it) - i assume hes perhaps also counting things like nfc.

And i agree that the siii is most advanced, though the processor is hard to define most advanced. The iphones is obviously lower powered (and dual core), but arguably more advanced from a technical perspective.

What don't you understand?
Why don't Apple make there own processors? Do they not have the means, brains to?
Have Samsung historically made their processors or is it a new partnership? If knew, why do they now need Samsung to make their chips?
Is it like Ali G walking into the office in New York with a skateboarding deck and telling the guys its a hover-board....go make as he has the idea but not the means to bring it to fruition?
Why would Samsung enter into an agreement and use their (Samsungs) skills and technology to manufacture a chip for their main rival that is better than their own processor? Thats the bit I dont understand. A tech guy comes on the 'Last Word' (a well respected show)and announces the S3 is 2 years ahead of Apples processors...why was I to think he was telling lies? Ive used both and there ire big performance differences.  Look to be honest, I don't really care. Its no biggy.

Apple dont have the fabrication facilities to make the chips themselves (currently)
They pay samsung a huge amount of money to do so.

It is an apple designed chip - samsung dont design anything about it, they just make it.  Instead of the skateboard/hoverboard they take a working design.

Samsung make a fortune from the agreement - someone is going to make the apple chip so they do. They still would prefer to sell  their own products, but why wouldnt they want the money from the millions of apple devices they know are going to be sold. Its not that uncommon - lcd panels are really only made by a small number of companies, these companies sell their own tvs as well, but make panels for rivals under licence.
Samsung also provide the retina screens for apple.

Fair enough you where mislead, but given you are comparing the difference between the s3 and iphone 5, did you honestly believe the apple performs like a 2 year old samsung chip

Im not that worried either - but I am always interested by these "tech guys" many of whom dont seem to know their arse from their elbow. This guy obviously knows nothing about processors

Guys I have no major love for any gadget manufacturer.apple folk get very defensive re their ipads and phones.

A couple of questions that I haven't  a notion about.  Why don't apple manufacture their own? And for nifan, why would Samsung steal the design when apple give it to them to make for them?

I've used both the s3 and 5, both great machines but the s3 is streets ahead imo

Neither do I - i dont own any apple products but I just find there is huge misinformation about the products - whether apple fanboys who think that apple is so superior, to claims such as the one that apple chips are 2 years behind.
It may have been some guy you heard, but in your earlier post you stated it as a fact - its patently false. But seemingly it was said and some people will believe it and propagate it.

I dont think samsung would steal the design, but im wondering why you think the fact that samsung manufactures it proves that the samsung chips will necessarily perform better.
"the A6 is manufactured by the competition for Apple so Id say safely say it doesnt perform better than the competition"
Unless samsung are crippling they design, or using it themselves - neither of which they are - I dont understand your statement

Samsung only manufacture it from apples design - I dont see how that has any impact on the relative performance, unless you think samsung is stealing the designs and somehow improving on them

Also note that these guys are all manufacturing chips from the same core design - arm cortex.
In fact i belive apples chips have started using the newest version, cotrtex-a15.

Dont forget that a chip may be made slower than possible for various reasons - battery life/heat being major ones.

Finally you also have to consider things like the gpu as well as the cpu in terms of the overall power of the thing, and how well the cpu and gpu are integrated. Main streets benchmark posted is probably very gpu dependent in fact,

yes...some techie guy on the matt cooper show 2 weeks ago. Said there are 2 super phones on the market, 1 is the samsung galaxy s3 and the other is the  htc one x. The quad core processor of the galaxy s3 is 2 years ahead of any tech Apple have.
On a personal note, I support over 100 mobiles @ work. Most are BB's, but theres a splattering HTC titans, desires, iPhone 4s / 5, and 2 x Samsung galaxy s3's that we got a few weeks ago. I moved onto the S3 and have never used a phone anywhere near in terms of speed and performance. Graphics, screen, it really is some tool. I work in IT, but wouldnt be a gadget freak, but the Galaxy is immense

You have the iPhone nifan?

Nope I have an htc one x - with the quad core tegra, and also a nexus 7 with tegra also. Not an apple fan particularly even - had an iphone a few years ago and it was dead on, but android since its come out .

If the techie guy said that apple are 2 years behind with their chips he is a mug. The a6 isnt as powerful as the other chips in raw numbers, but it is far from 2 years behind.

apple's processors are about 2 years behind Samsungs. Apple have an unreal marketing department as they arent in the same ball park re performance

2 years? anything to back that up?

Jaysus he got a right hopper there. why was he wearing a camera though? Seems odd.

Very common in london now, and there have been people getting points and fines for reckless driving on the back of them.

Id like to see some of the dodgy cyclists receiving the same justice though.
