Warwickshire- Better than antrim

Antrim must have problems if there worse than our boys in Warwickshire

I was on the bench.

Number 9 was Paul Houston, he did really well it was only the cross field ball at the end that went wrong for him. It took us too long to get into the game. Pity we're losing Michael Quirke (No.12 kicking the 45's) to Coventry City but best of luck to him. he's a great player.

Hopefully the championship wont be run the same way again next year. Also I thnk St. Marys should be in the senior as well as a few others.
I thought the standard was very poor  with macs young lads been that bit fitter towards the end.It shows Warwickshire in a bad light that the 2 best players would probaly be the oldest in Joseph Dowling and Ossie Bennett

Tyrone bate Sligo 1-20 to 3-10 in the NHL so should be tight.
Was at Warwickshire v Sligo match on Saturday thought Sligo would be better.Herily a very good hurler who has been on Kilkenny panel but i think he broke his thumb in Birmingham.

I would say Donegal are gone with no points.Has something gone wrong there,a soft group on paper.Longford are out after beating Louth who I thought were one of the favourites, that was a tough group

Warwickshire lost by 2 points against Sligo. 2great chances for goal in the last minute.Great save by the keeper for a 65 from which we missed a good chance wide by 6 inches with keeper beaten. Always next year.

Is there any hurling tournaments in Europe. We are a club in England interested in going out there for a match or 2 this year

John Mitchel's Hurling Club,Warwickshire would like to wish Armoy the very best in tomorrows semi .We also thank them for their hospitality after the match and hope to meet up with them soon.
Also we would like to thank everyone that travelled from England to support us and also family members and ex players who travelled from all over Ireland. They all helped to make it a great atmosphere at the match and it was a pity we could not pull it off.

All 1/4 finals are on the 20th on the masterplan.Mitchel's wanted to play it this year but I dont think Armoy did.Mitchel's have heard nothing of the 27th and we have tried to find out so we are assuming the 20th at an Antrim venue.

The two best teams in the competition are in the final which i suppose is the best outcome of any competition.Personally I hope Armagh win because I think it would lift hurling there more than Roscommon who like Derry are a county gone down looking for a confidence boost rather than a county there for the first time.I am a Warwickshire man so we know here what its like to struggle as we had a great year until we were mullered by Louth last day out.But counties like Armagh and Mayo have shown what progress can be made by the "lesser lights"
