Entertaining game. Commentator on Clubber is dire. Started off badly by singing National Anthem.....badly.

Meath 1-11
Longford 2-09

Quote from: thejuice on January 11, 2024, 10:08:25 PMWe have a challenge match against Galway on Saturday. Apparently CO'R is putting out a full strength team in that and will be playing a second string team against Longford. Allegedly anyway.

Easy pickings so.

Our 23rd meeting in the O'Byrne Cup. Longford's record v De Riyals is

6 wins, 2 draws and 14 defeats.

First time was 1954 when Meath won by 20 points. We put out a second string that day I am told.

This is going to be one hell of a Group.

I hope to get to most of the games. Not sure I have attended a football match in Waterford.

South of the Bann may be close - but I think Wexford are in the mix.
So for me it's Laois, Wexford and Longford (I hope) duelling it out for promotion.

With 4 home games and trips to Laois, Waterford and Wexford it will certainly be a Magical Mystery Tour.

Don't know, Longford are kings of January football. We won't be taking it lightly.

Ha!  ::) A title we wrestled off the Kildare Flourbags.

No - some official X accounts have the game on Fri in Ashbourne. Got feckin soaked there last year.

We had our chances agin Slashers but didnt tale them. That said, Slashers missed a shed load.

Seemingly some of our lads refused to travel beforehand which was very disappointing.

Who'll toss the coin for the Mullinalaghta/Comcille thingy?

Mostrim need 1 more point I think to avoid a scrap.

Was very surprise to see Abbey getting such a trimming.
Slashers flirting with danger. They have us and Dromard but they will be looking to Eggistown for a handy win.

Be nice to deny them it.
