Why change the habit of a lifetime, good to see Fergie taking responsibility when things go wrong: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29712012

Just recently I spotted two examples of GAA jerseys appearing on TV in places I wouldn't have expected - first watching the Golf Masters on Sunday evening someone in the crowd was wearing a Kerry jersey, then last night I was watching Big Body Squad on C5 and at the beginning they were showing obese people on the high street and someone was wearing an Armagh jersey... Did anyone else notice? and do you have other examples?

was it Benny Tierney?

lol was thinking that myself, unfortunately they didn't show the persons head just their significant beer belly!

I'm not religious so not really bothered about what the church does or doesn't do, but I don't really understand this modernising agenda. Clubs are entitled to have rules and if you don't like them then don't sign up!

I notice Mr. Man Utd Howard Webb had an assist for the Chelsea goal today and also broke up another Liverpool attack by getting in the way...

A 35 million pound striker on the bench again, money well spent!

Not a bad weekend after all with all our main rivals for 4th Arsenal, Man U and Spurs dropping points as well.

I think Liverpool are competing for 8th to 6th going by the last 3 seasons and the horrific start... so maybe not a great weekend!

New season, same old story. Don't hold much hope of a comeback but lets see...

Was talking to someone recently who is involved in investigation into abuse in the Catholic Church  and they have discovered that child sexual abuse is no more prevalent in the church than in any other cross section of society. It is way more common than most people realise....

Recent figures released by the charity Child Line have revealed that 59% of the perpetrators of child abuse are family members.

Figures released by the NSPCC last year further illustrate the frequency of family perpetrators in instances of abuse.  In counselling sessions for victims where the perpetrator has been disclosed, one third of victims stated the abuser to be their own father. Furthermore, the Chief Executive of NAPAC has revealed that in the 10 years NAPAC has been running, almost 100% of victims of sexual abuse cite the perpetrator to be a family member or someone who is well known and trusted by them.

Encouraging from Armagh, if they had another scoring forward to help Clarke out things may have been different (pity McDonnell didn't give it another year). I agree with those who are praising Brian Mallon as hopefully now he can push on and start to fulfill his early promise. Also agree that the hit and hope balls in the last ten minutes just played into Tyrones hands and they were able to use the resuting possession to build their own attacks. It was refreshing to see Armagh play a more open game, but 19 scores conceded means they need to tighten things up at the back to have a chance of putting a winning run together in the qualifiers.

Couple of stats from MOTD2.

Liverpool's form in 2012 is 2nd worst in Prem league.
Downing,Henderson, Carroll and Adam (about £80m all told) have 6 prem league goals between them.

Don't know what it is about Liverpool fans and refusal to see the wood for the trees. They were in denial about Benitez for about 12 months as well.If they win the FA cup though it is hard to see them getting rid of Dalglish.

If you read RAWK which I used to, but now only visit for internet links to matches. The posters including the moderators keep talking about Benitez coming back... Stan Collymore did a show on talksport on Monday and it was surprisingly really good because all the fans got a say and not just the deluded ones who live in 2005 and see no one only Rafa. It is depressing how they live in the past as even that season Liverpool finished behind Everton in the league...
