Looking forward to this one with both teams going well.  Derry have been putting up big scores in the McKenna Cup and have been playing with 6 natural forwards, and the six who started last week will probably start again.  I think Paddy Heaney had an article in the paper a couple of weeks back about teams picking more scoring forwards so far this year, so hopefully this will lead to more open games in general.

Prediction: Derry by a couple of points, and a few ole chants/keepy-uppys to further annoy the Tyrone folk.

Celtic probably don't need another player who can play wing or off the front, but I can see where Lennon is coming from - picking up an asset for £300k which is worth considerably more.  Not great news for Paddy McCourt though.

Thats the going rate pints. When you have 200 per week dole, plus other benefits like rent/mortgage allowance, winter fuel allowance, family allowance which is a fair whack and what ever other benefits there are you`ll understand why wages are so high.
There is no way that anyone in the north is working for as little as £200 a week.

You really have no clue what you are talking about.  That's all I earn a week after tax and if I can't work I won't get paid.  Plenty of people in the same boat too.

abortion the only issue all nordie parties agree on.

I think Sinn Fein are a bit on-the-fence about it though.

Agree with Pints that this shouldn't be a religious debate, you can be atheist and anti-abortion.

just watched the jones fight on sky there now against some mexican lad, how he got awarded the fight i will never know, stole it

The same happened with Paul Williams getting a decision not so long ago and is now pretty commonplace.  An up-and-coming fighter with a bit of a name will get the benefit of any shred of doubt as they want him to win and make sure the next big-bucks fight will happen.  The guy Jones pretty much already had a fight lined up in the UK after this one which Bob Arum was talking about pre-fight on Saturday.  I think it is clear that the judges did not want to scupper the UK fight by Jones getting defeated.  It's a bit of a farce but this kind of thing happens so often now it isn't surprising.

Margarito is a champion in my eyes. But Pacman is just ridiculous.

Margarito is a cheating bastard, ruined Cotto's career I think and could have killed him.  But he was gutsy tonight admittedly.

I feel raped by Sky.

like  the reality TV shows, they have take the money and are laughing

Fair play to Sky for being able to dupe anyone into paying for that!  They can hype anything up to be a must-see event, some contrast to RTE's soccer or football coverage.  Anyone with even a passing interest in boxing knew what Harrison would be like in that fight.

Gonna be well over a stone in weight between these 2 tonight but still fancy Pacman.  Hope he knocks out the cheating bastard.

Just shows you can hype any event and people will still watch it, even when they know themselves it will not be a contest at all.  Christ sake any man off the street would have at least swung a punch at some stage.

What is it with Sky-hyped mediocrities liike these that they make a fortune fighting bums until, eventually, they are forced to face a decent fighter and it all comes crashing down round their ears ... Eubank, Benn, Prince Naseem anyone?

Never liked Nigel Benn but ne hever ducked a fight and went to the states to win a world championship. His win against McClellan (who was expected to beat him) is probably the most brutal fight I've ever seen. If he were around today he would be a superstar.

Hamed beat some very good fighters too, and only came unstuck against one of the legends of that era of boxing.

So if you be good all your life and then turn into a bit of a bollix near the end and you're a non-believer, you have to spend forever and ever in hell.  But if you are a bollix your whole life and murder/rape etc but then say sorry at the end and a priest forgives you, you get to live in paradise for eternity.  That seems to be what we are supposed to believe.

In answer to your question, we die and then we rot.  It might seem depressing to some, but as someone else alluded to, once you accept that's what will happen it is actually grand and you think little about it.
