Some good smart posts about the state of Laois football, pity county board wouldn't act on them

I honestly think a significant cohort of the panel are gone stale and institutionalised at this stage
A big cull is required to refresh the panel

I wonder can Creeden do it
Previously I thought he was great ,good communicator etc
Laois need a passionate disciplinarian at this stage

Of course at the end of the day I blame county board who just sit there and do nothing
A disgrace and the real reason we are here at this crossroads

I was at the game

Didn't realise Louth are out next week in the minor

I thought Laois did well in the conditions Coffey and mccaul taking on their respective markers leading to early scores and goals which killed off Louth early on

Some of Louth defenders looked like they were stunned after first goal really

You don't want to highlight specific players but 2,3,4,7,8,11,13,14 all impressed

Workmanlike aswell good attitude and great for these lads to get a win

There is a far deeper problem which has come to my attention over last while regards a significant cohort of the panel......nasty insidious and it needs to be sorted big time

QuoteIf the sanction is that severe then they won't do it in the first place.

You seem to be more in favor of the transgressors than the victims, then again that seems to be a common stance with you

What sanctions would you come up?

What on earth are you talking about, this is the first time I have commented on this? Relax yourself and cut out that bullsh*te for a start.

In no circumstance, where a child has done nothing wrong, should a child suffer on the back of the stupidity of an adult. The Chairperson is gone, and rightly so. To extend that, perhaps a moratorium on anyone from the school holding a position on the county Cumann na mBunscol committee for the next 3 to 5 years, and the school should hand over the trophy, and let Knockmay have their own presentation. I don't see what more can or should be done.

Banning Cumann na mBunscol or U-12 club teams is utterly ridiculous and only serves your own interpretation of justice. It's not justice for the children in Castletown, they still deserve to play hurling.

Well done Seagal,

Cant believe someone would put forward banning kids from playing

I'm purely commenting from a gaa community point of view
Portlaoise can go to hell as far as i'm concerned

Facts are county board just not upto scratch regards initiatives to change status quo

Primary schools are an issue

I'm from the town but involved with a club outside at this stage and I agree completely with the Don

Resources will have to be poured into Portlaoise Dubs style.

Seems to be a serious doughnut effect where all people potentially playing GAA/Hurling are now moving out to surrounding clubs

Does the multimillion Euro bailout from Croke Park on Rathleague not qualify?,

still I guess dragging Neighbouring clubs to the DRA over juvenile players  at €3,000 a pop does drain the resources all right

The game against Clonaslee in most age groups u14 upwards are now dreaded in our club

Intimidation rampant on the line of players, supporters,Ref and even their own players

I umpired a match u16 in which they were involved and the behaviour of management towards their own players was disgusting

I could hear players saying they would never play again

Unbelievable

Have we just spent this many pages critiquing and criticising cuman na bunscoil when they are now trying to do something that hasn't been done in years by our actual GAA committees? Jesus, I just can't understand why they haven't been brought in properly under the gaa umbrella. It makes no sense. I don't know why the fixtures aren't on the laoisgaa website. Surely more parents or other gaels would go if it were.

3rd and 4th class leagues, parish leagues, whatever the hell yous want...we now have, apparently, some real expertise from Tipperary and we're expecting them to turn water into wine overnight. Could we at least see how these panels work out first?
I'm sure we've had plenty of Laois folk involved who have done f**k all in recent years.
Are you on drugs?
Jesus Obviously

Johnny Depp more coherent in Las Vegas

I didn't realise that about graiguecullan

That's a disgrace

I certainly agree with Ballyroanabu as regards Portlaoise and the other bigger towns

Big problems exist in Portlaoise and Mountmellick especially numbers from 14 up are just diabolical

How is a small duel county like Laois to compete minus population bases being really competitive

I have always blamed the county board....... its their watch

Major problems are waiting for the GAA in Laois for sure
#73
Sick from that performance

Is Creedon able to sufficiently get through to the Laois psyche I don't know

Panel is happy seemingly but Offaly were just so up for that game
Laois skillset is just so poor that's the reason why we are in Division 4

Decisionmaking and discipline at times was mindblowing
#74
Completely agree High Fielder

Story goes the panel are really behind what Creedon is trying to do and his methods

The feelings are they have been very unfortunate with injuries and some dubious ref decisions
I hope we get the win and a bit of stability in terms of game time for the final panel

Huge problems with the management team as usual from the Laois supporters

Players were not good enough last night

I have never seen anything like the standard of tackling and discipline,Moore has a bad day and the whole team crap themselves

Murphy was the only one to show
