Just heard Roscommon away in the first match .

Looks like from provisonal league fixtures it's Roscommon in the first match . Tough start .

No Attride or Done in Divisional teams . Otherwise as expected . Thought Gary Walsh would have gave it another go this year but perhaps he's off travelling again .

Happy to see Kearns back involved with the back room .

This whole scenario is baffling.

Portlaoise the better team with more quality but maybe a little lucky in the end. Killeshin had to come at them in the second half and did but lacked that cutting edge.

Few observations,  killeshin crowd outnumbered the town which frankly is a sad indictment of the football following in Portlaoise for a town it's size . But sure that's another story for a different day.

I heard Attride is off to Australia which if true will be a huge loss  to Laois And club .

Great news if true but I'll believe it when I see it. Mick may have other plans and I'm sure the queue to get him is pretty long. For those who weren't about or remembers his  previous role with laois. That didn't finish well.

Heard last night Mick Dempsey is considering a role with Quirkes back room team after been approached recently . Not sure how true it is but there has been contact apparently.

Have to say I was very impressed with Portlaoise's resolve on Sunday . Supremely driven team . Portarlington's day will come , hope they can make the next step . Adam Ryan deserves a shot with the  county .
