Two disappointing games of hurling to stay in line on a disappointing championship after all the hype about our hurlers in the summer .

Hopefully the final can bring an improved standard

Ballyfin were poor looked like a team not coached at all.

The Harps were physical and well drilled but hit too many sides to be considered favourites for the final .

Ballyfin had a great year for such a small club they can be proud but the best two teams by far are in the final

They really are a poor shower when it comes to losing remember all the stuff with Alf Harvey a few years back .

They have such a bad reputation some ref's and umpires won't go to their field .

Last sat night was a disgrace i was delighted Rosenallus won

Delighted also rosenallis won but again they were dragged into that clonaslee web and panicked a small bit on and off the field and were nearly paying the price for it,
any1 any idea how many were sent off this year for clonaslee or what is the county board going to do to prevent such behaviour as it will continue into next years competition

Class operater didn't get much ball still scored a goal and had two men on him at all times .

Killeshin were fresher which is understandable given Ballyfin commitments to both.

Both clubs should take pride in the game provided for the neutrals the crowd there for a stand alone replay game was incredible.

Eoin Lowry is a joy to watch and so unselfish.

A Couple of calls went against Ballyfin as regards 2nd yellows that Killeshin players didnt get (maurice bottled one where he looked at the munber and put the book away)but Ballyfin got away with alot of over carrying in my opinion all in all Killeshin were better and learned much more from the draw game.

Steven Attride is outstanding and such a joy to watch if only Laois had more like him .

Number 3 for Ballyfin has the makings of a county back for Laois.

Darragh Connolly has to be up there for player of the year kept quiet for spells tonight but he lit up the championship in the games I've seen.

I think Killeshin if they can keep their focus after the build up  could run Portlaoise to some sort of a game.

I'm looking forward to it already.

Well done to Ballyfin they really provided  some great entertainment to this year and should build from.this .

Killeshin have been making roads for a while and  finally have got there and deserve nothing but credit .

Thanks for that guys. Very helpful. I play hurling with a club so I think it has to be a football only club and junior would be my level obviously.

Ballyfin have really surprised everyone and for good reason are the talk of the county David Connolly at full back has to be worth a go somewhere on a Laois football panel.

Not to mention Sean Moore

Killeshin however will be strong favourites with the boost of half a team home from the states .

They have played more football at a top level and could rattle Port or the Town in the final

Best tenner I ever spent was Saturday evening ballyfin and ballylinan wins ...they were incredible games

Sean Moore was pure class ...ballyfin got 4-15 from play

A bit ...was the worst display of refereeing decisions I've seen since ....well since the same ref's last important game in the championship last year .

He is just nowhere near the standard and looses control of things in these sort of games .

This has been shown in the past .
Pity because it was exciting even tho quality was low .

He added to the excitement for the neutral but for the players of both sides and esp emo it must be so frustrating to have this standard of an official.
Hope he gets no more senior games this year

Down had 2 sellout games in Pairc Eslar this year, those 2 games will go towards paying all the expenses that go into running the county team. Down playing Wicklow in Pairc Eslar in the Tier 2 whatever would probably have about 400 people at it, how is that going to help Down get to the level where they can compete with the better teams?  It's also patronising as #### saying they will be humiliated and don't want to play against the better teams, it was a free roll for Down against Mayo, Mayo had all the pressure, lose and at least we saw Aidan O'Shea, Andy Moran etc. but a potential banana skin for Mayo if it got close and the home crowd got behind Down. If Mayo progresses past the Super 8 both Down and Armagh can use the flawed logic if the ref/that shot .. (if my granny had balls and all that...).

There is a discussion on best mens tennis player over the last 10+ years when only 4 players had much chance of winning, really they could just have those 4 play each other and do away with the rest of the tournament but the whole build up to the semi finals could be 1 of those players struggling in the early rounds, a surprise player knocking 1 of then out, a young unexpected player making progress, if we save time and do away with the also rans something big but indefinable will be lost from the narrative of what makes a tournament exciting.

Cork are going to take over the hill ....

I think there will be about 40,000-45,000 there Sunday.

18,000 Cork (ticket sales are nearly 15,000 down there and there is Cork people everywhere in the country
8,000 Laois(massive support for such a small county)
9,000 Tipp(maybe more but rumour is they are waiting for the Semi v wexford
8,000 Killkenny Never travel big expect for final day especially if they think they will loose
2,000 Neutrals (passes etc
