Who are the likely newcomers next year?

With Justy and Sean Cavanagh retiring and McGeary in the England next year you would imagine there will be a few places up for grabs.

Grugan and McLaughlin of Omagh might be brought in. Will Tierney be brought back in?

Of last year's u-21s McKernan is the most likely addition. Ruairi Sludden and Mark Kavanagh would be two more options but they wouldn't really give us anything we don't already have.

I'd imagine we'll see 7 or 8 new faces for the O'Fiach and McKenna Cups. There's a good few lads who have been round a few years now without really making much of an impact and they must be questioning things.
Mark Kavanagh. I dont think he was guaranteed his place on the Errigal team at the end of the year. Peter Og took his place in the league final did he not and he was replaced in the County Final fairly early in the second half.

took a position that Mark has very little experience playing in (WHB), think most will agree that he is most dangerous when he is nearer the goals. Errigal got away playing him in HB line during the league as teams dropped their half forwards back which gave him the safety to run forward to good effect, but when he was put on the back front to defend, it was something he wasn't use to and therefore acceptably not the best at it.

slaughtneil omagh will be a kick of the ball just like last time. slaughtneil had to be pumped and primed for kilcoo last week hurling this week omagh didnt have to get out of first gear v errigal they will be fresher.. killyclogher were very poor last year against slaughtneil when faced with the maroon wall, omagh have smarter footballers playing against the defensive screen than the bluemen. omagh are physically very strong and whilst they may lack legs in the middle they have enough pace elsewhere to deal with the run they also have a stonger bench than 2014. slaughtneil will be worried.

come down off your high horse

forgot about meyler, was v good against ardboe. r o neill , mulgrew, peter harte, aiden mc crory, mark bradley, were all poor when i seen them. mc kernan from coalisland seems to be a serious man marker. was the only man could handle mark bradley last year.

Yeah Bradley was quiet in the Final..

Mark scored 14 points between the two games, yeah 30% may have been from frees but he won most of these frees himself and got battered by Island to win them

As good a club forward as there is about at the minute, probably just too small to make an impact at county level.

Is he any smaller than Mark Bradley??
Liable to up sticks and transfer to another county if Tyrone fall on tough times though

Why would Mark Bradley move counties?
Was on about the other forward

What other forward?

Hinting at Darragh Kavanagh transferring from Clogher to Augher the year they were promoted.

he is nowhere near the standard of Mark Bradley, Mark was stand out player for that un21 team, Darragh played very little time that year

The Clarke threw away massive 2 points yesterday..... Derrylaughan pushing hard,Edendork Beating Greencastle this weekend will decide a lot of Relegation Issues in Div 1 at least not looking Great for Urney....

that's a very poor result for the Clarkes. thought they would have had more than enough to take care of Aghyaran yesterday.

Rock got an important win but how have they been able to get the starred games against the likes of Aghyaran and Moy this season?.

We were talking about that last night..... Stewartstown coming with their normal late burst!!!

we've won 6 out of 8 games since Feeney left. hopefully we can keep it going.

With some of your so called better player in USA as well...

Dan Lowe was home from America during the week and came on the second half

Is this weekends game definitely a starred one then? I know its starred round 3 so assume it is too but just checking it hasn't changed. I did think the 5 games was the maximum number of starred games and there could be less depending on progress of the fixtures. But at the same time 13 days out from a quarter final they might be happy to let the county team focus on that.

Though the club games have worked well to date for the county players and it is hard on the players in the squad not getting game time without them. It's obviously also hard on clubs who really need the points to miss their best player or players.

Next three games are all due to be starred providing Tyrone progress through the QF, leaving one last non-starred game to be placed once Tyrone are bate.

regarding your second quote, I think that this is an issue. I think Dungannon or someone similar at top of Div 2 have Aghyaran coming up which will be a starred fixture. this is a massive game for both clubs and a win could go towards securing the league and promotion. With Aghyaran missing Ronan McHugh alone they have lost a major scoring threat which could affect their promotion. I think Ronan had No.28 on him at weekend so hasn't been in the squads lately. I know that Killyclogher were allowed to play Sean Fox in starred fixture when he was on the panel.

another example is Cahir McCullagh at Greencastle, they are at the wrong end of the table and Cahir is a massive player for them

Dungannon also missing big McNulty so even enough at the end of the day.

Did he not leave the panel?

Don't think he left the panel, if he did its news to me.  And McNulty doesn't equate to McHugh and McNamee there is a huge advantage to Dungannon in that league game and I expect them to win it by a fair margin.

This is the point I was trying to say, I was seeing McNulty and McNamee as cancelling each other out.

Anyone could manage the Tyrone team and do as well. This is the club forum, yous have stank out the county forum, don't try and do the same here.

If anyone could manage the Tyrone team and do well why did you waste 375 posts or so looking rid of Mickey Harte!?

I know this isn't the correct forum but you didn't seem to answer on the Donegal game elsewhere.

I doubt any club fixtures will be called off or moved for this weekend at this stage. Credit should be given to very well run fixtures this year to date. Good to see plenty of club activity at this time of year (minor, u21's, reserve championships, senior games), too often things are quiet at this stage.

what about the lads that have booked holidays over the 12th period due to senior fixtures and now going to miss un21 games? also I am sure there is a few minor lads with end of school years lads holidays booked that are affected. All for playing these games but don't think this time of year offers respect to un21 players playing senior football

What about the dungannon gortin game - heard there was some major boxing done? Heard Paul rouse got jaw broke - is this true. Hope it's not true wouldn't wish that on anyone - him only a mentor too
is this true? if so disgrace..any men sent off?

seen the video of this row, its shows Rouse in the corner of the video shouldering/ shoving someone and then a few Gortin players sprint over to him and give him a bit of a bating, he didn't look to be in much pain/ holding his jaw after this when the video played on but the adrenaline may have numbed the pain at the time....

Video shows Rouse getting battered by several Gortin players and not 1 Dungannon man come to his rescue/back up whatever you wanna call it. Dont start rows with culchie's unless you's can back it up townies lol. You would think with Dungannon players reputation of boxing around the town at the weekends they wouldve been handy enough, no signs of it in the video

maybe the Dungannon players thought he deserved a bating for getting them all to sign up to the monthly direct debit to pay for him

McNiece back for Fianna could be the missing link...they would be county champions if he had have been available first game v Killyclogher...IMO....

Killyclogher would have been county champions first time around if Gary Wallace stayed on the field but he didn't, and Mc Niece was in America so irrelevant point... IMO
