Wasn't impressed at all with that Dublin performance. To score three early goals and go nine up against a strong wind, with a strong team out, and only win by one shows that they are a long way behind where they were this time last year.

There has been a bit of a malaise surrounding the team throughout this league similar to the one two years ago, which proved difficult to shake off come the summer.

That's not correct. We had 7 of the All Ireland team starting today. Between injuries, suspensions and u21s we haven't had more than 8 of the all Ireland team start in any league game. Team showing great spirit and never say die attitude. Happy enough with league. Don't care whether we win it or not. All Ireland is only thing that matters to Gavin and Dublin team.

You obviously haven't seen him n too many games. Well able to give a dig and did so! Fine player and leaves Kildare with a large gap in their forwards to fill. Don't know why he committed for the year and then packs it in today??

Its good to see Dublin having such a strong team out. No better way of learning where your at than against the All Ireland champions not far off full strength. I think it'll be a high scoring good game. Should be a big crowd and great way to finish of the home fixtures for the league.

I think we're well off full strength. We have 8 of our starting All Ireland 15. Missing Cluxton, McMahon, McCaffrey, Brennan, Flynn, Mannion & Kilkenny. Also out are Rock, Bastick & Costello. Still it's nearly strongest team we've had out in league but long way off what you'd expect to see in the Summer.

Actually expect Tyrone to win this. With Cluxton out, midfield struggling and Flynn missing who wins huge amount of ball think Tyrone will win majority of ball and do enough to win.

Mayo to blow the dubs apart, kick start their season and turn pessimists like myself into dreamers again.

The fact that both managers have named their strongest teams should make this a great contest. Stil hard to know how mmuxh we''ll learn for later in the year, probably very little.

Dublins strongest team?? No McMahon, McCaffrey, Brennan, Brogans x 2, Mannion, Costello, Bastick, Kilkenny or Rock. Yeah it's our strongest team!

Pretty good programme on the 2013 season tonight on RTE 2. McStay was good and Malachy Clerkin always brings a fresh insight. I thought Ger Brennan was a wee bit reluctant to give Gooch any praise for one of the best performances ever in Croke Park. Maybe it was because he couldn't get close enough to kick him

One of best performances ever???  Was great in first half. Didn't get a kick of the ball in second half once CO'S moved onto him. The game lasts 70 mins not 35.

A friend of mine  (in Boston) has a 20 year old son who will be working in Naas next Summer.  This young fella is looking for a gym to join while he is there.  He is a an American Football player at a prestigous Ivy League College so he would be "accustomed to/require" a pretty good set up-ie not just cardio machines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would have agreed at the time but it's been shown up as a myth - there'll only be about 20,000 at today's Leinster Final with at least as many Galway fans there as Dubs despite the match being on their doorstep. It's good that a new county is competing at the top level but Dublin people (not all of them, obviously) don't give a toss about hurling.  If Offaly or certainly Wexford had gotten through to today's Leinster Final they'd have brought a bigger support than Dublin will bring today.

Typical arrogant sh*te! What do you know about Dublin hurling? Obviously sod all! You might have tried to correct yourself with later post but the one above shows you up. Galway have very little right to be arrogant about anything. It was the same when we beat you in Tullamore 2 years ago!

The graciousness of Kilkenny supporters last Sat in Portlaoise was in marked contrast to yourselves today and last time! Now there's a county I respect! Up de Dubs!!

Struggling with the Tyrone should have won thinking??? Dublin had 60% possession, more scores, more shots, more wides & more goal chances! Also missed number of frees that shouldn't have been missed. Think that would indicate that we were deserving winners. Also hard to win game when you have 14 players in your own half.

As for ref it's funny how people see what they want to see & ignore the rest. Better team won tight game!

Strangely, Tyrone fans were happier leaving than the Dubs were. Think the Dubs bought a few cheap frees towards the end but Tyrone had the game in their own hands and some weak shooting let them down.

Good game though. Fair play to both teams.

Think we're quiet happy! We dug out win in tight game against blanket defence! Another young player has arrived on scene & shown great potential. Add to this that ROC, Flynn, A Brogan, Kilkenny and Nolan were all missing today and I'd say yes we are indeed happy with our lot going into the championship!

Tyrone made life tough today for us but god forbid you lose Sean Cavanagh for any game. He is the heartbeat of Tyrone and a super player. Lose him to injury and its curtains!

It's hard to look past Dublin for Leinster again.

Probably best for all if we just give Dublin the Leinster title now and the rest of us just go straight into the qualifiers.

Yes I'd tend to agree on Andrews..was enthused at the start of the league when he was kicking points for fun, but i dont think he has developed the way I thought he would..also seems to have a selfish streak, in that his 1st option will be to go solo as opposed to playing in the man in the better position..thats the difference maybe between him and someone of the class of Brogan..takes right option all or most of the time !!

You obviously haven't watched too much of him! He scored 3 sublime points v Donegal last weekend. He's been a stand out player in nearly every game in league. Quiet yesterday but will be in team for league final and more than likely for start of championship.
