I'd estimate 90% of all Dairy farmers voted to leave the EU. NI exports over 80% of all the milk it produces. Many of them would have a poultry interest as well.
No doubt based on the assumption that all dairy farmers are DUP supporting Free-Ps
Total BS statement
I work in the industry and would know what I am talking about. I'd speak to over 30 dairy farmers everyday - right across Northern Ireland. But hey whatever you think yourself.
Oh right so you work in the department taking calls from farmers to fulfil their redtape requirements.... which ALL farmers loathe and farmers are well known for holding their tounge when it comes to complaining..... But you've been conducting a political survey at your government job tuttut? Dont be afraid to publish the results then
Look I know a fair few dairy farmers myself and they do nothing but bitch about EU regulations. But the ones I know best when it came to the referendum it was a no brainer Remain.
Not saying that a healthy majority probably voted to Leave...... but 90% is LaLa Land stuff
LOL I work for the Department. f**k me. Have a word with yourself.
Do I know the exact figure? No. But I would offer that 9 / 10 of all Dairy farmers I know and spoke to voted leave. And as I say I speak with 30+ everyday, including Farmers who send their milk to processors across the border. f**k me I spoke to two buyers for two separate beef factories in NI the VERY NEXT DAY and they voted leave as well.
The reason? I think it was a combination of red tape etc but also fluctuations in Milk prices. Ironically the red tape was mostly caused by the Dept in NI who interpret the directives and not necessary by the EU.
Quote from: screenexile on August 08, 2019, 11:58:50 AMIdiots. After all the shite the huns do around the 12th why bother making yourself out to be on that level. Although if the cops would ever feck off out of those places and quit stirring it there'd be a lot less bother.
Things kicking off in New Lodge . . . what the f**k is going on over there?? Clearly the wider community doesn't want this why can't it get sorted in house???
I see Gerry Kelly's been there all morning would be interesting to hear what he has to say it seems complete nonsense and just a lod of hoods intent on causing bother!!
Quote from: Cunny Funt on August 07, 2019, 05:52:18 PMAw thats an awful pity. Mayo having a horrible year with injuries.
Jason Doherty's injury confirmed as ACL.
Quote from: Farrandeelin on August 06, 2019, 10:09:54 PMRoscommon can't, any other year they'd have been out after being best by Tyrone anyway, then got tanked by the Dubs. They're a good side but just a step below the top 5 at the minute. Donegal can have complaints as they beat Tyrone this year already and have only lost once compared to Mayo's 2 defeats, but thats just the way it goes, they had their chance to beat Mayo but the better team won.Quote from: SouthDublinBro on August 06, 2019, 05:48:16 PM
I don't see any problem with the Super 8 system. The current 4 teams who have qualified are the best 4 in Ireland. No other team can have any complaints.
Roscommon can. Donegal can.
Quote from: oliverkelly on August 06, 2019, 08:40:40 AMLook at the amount of Dubs he's picked, of course its a wind up.Quote from: kerryforsam19 on August 05, 2019, 01:13:41 PM
Shaun Patton
Brendan Harrison
Ronan McNamee
Tom Sullivan
Gavin Crowley
Colm Boyle
Ryan McHugh
David Moran
Aidan O'Shea
Mattie Donnelly
Seanie Shea
Jamie Brennan
Cillian Connors
Cathal McShane
David Clifford
Is this actually a wind up? Cillian Connors? i persume you mean Cillian O Connor, Not a chance does he deserve an All Star on this years form he has only played a hand full of games. If he has an exceptional semi final and Final yeah maybe but not within an asses roar at the minute.
Brendan Harrison got roasted in a good few games in this years championship. Against both Roscommon and Kerry he was taken to the cleaners.
Quote from: RedHand88 on August 06, 2019, 05:12:01 PMSo everyone shouldn't have the right to watch our national sport on our national broadcaster without having to be shafted by skys prices? Hmm.. Harte being a tool again me thinks.Quote from: Armagh18 on August 06, 2019, 01:43:59 PM
Jaysus has anyone seen Hartes latest comments on Sky/Rte? Couldn't like them Tyrones huers if ye reared them.
He's absolutely 100% right, apart from the bit about the black card being because of a TV rant.
Quote from: omagh_gael on August 05, 2019, 06:19:11 PMThe Dubs haven't got out of 3rd gear since they last played Mayo in the championship though.
As much as I'd love to see a cracker on Saturday I've a feeling this could turn out pretty rough for Mayo. They've put in another serious effort to get this far and now they're meeting a rested Dublin team with a serious motivation to go for the 5 in a row. I know Mayo have put it up to the Dubs in the past but guys like Chris Barrett, Keith Higgins and Colm Boyle have two more years on the clock and haven't encountered a full throttle Dublin team since their last AI final.
I think Mayo will will seriously miss Jason Doc in this game. He had a stormer in those AI finals and has the physicality and vision to really bring guys like CoC and Moran into the games against the Dubs.
I'm going for a comfortable Dub win beating the spread.
Quote from: BennyCake on August 05, 2019, 03:45:09 PMCan someone explain what good something like that does the game? Ruining the biggest game of a lads life over nothing.Quote from: imtommygunn on August 05, 2019, 03:28:51 PMQuote from: tyrone08 on August 05, 2019, 03:07:39 PMQuote from: imtommygunn on August 05, 2019, 02:58:32 PM
Are you sure?? I didn't think shouldering a man late or dragging back were.
Rules are-
1. Deliberately pull down an opponent.
2. Deliberately trip an opponent with the hand(s), arm, leg or foot.
3. Deliberately body collide with an opponent after he has played the ball away or for the purpose of taking him out of a movement of play.
4. Threaten or to use abusive or provocative language or gestures to an opponent or a teammate.
5. Remonstrate in an aggressive manner with a Match Official.
I find it funny that a player can literally hold an opponent back which in itself is cynical but you wont get a black card. I seen a fair bit of blocking off the ball in the mayo v donegal game with no card shown. As a neutral i would say donegal were doing more off the ball blocking than mayo.
The frontal shoulder off the ball after the donegal penalty according to the rules should have been a black card. Leo blocked a mayo players run after he played the ball which should have been another black card.
The rules are not the issue its the refs who wont/dont enforce them that is the problem.
Yeah a frontal shoulder would be a black but not a late shoulder to shoulder.
Possibly not that far from the truth wobbler lol.
I think the black card isn't implemented very well but Benny I don't think you know the intended rules round it...
Does anyone? Even the referees?
I recall a player in the AI club final a year or two ago. A few mins in, shouldered opponent after he had played the ball, and got black. Castle bar were involved I think.
Quote from: tyrone08 on August 05, 2019, 03:07:39 PMThe rules are crap. Who wants to see players being forced off for stupid little things like that, yellow is more than enough.Quote from: imtommygunn on August 05, 2019, 02:58:32 PM

Quote from: larryin89 on August 04, 2019, 06:52:21 PMWhen was the last time Dublin won handy against Mayo in the championship? I'd expect Saturday to be every bit as much of a war as the last 3 AI finals they've met in.
I still think it was the height of stupidity by Tyrone . Why not force a Kerry v Dublin semi final whilst getting a handy semi yourself . Mickey Harte is an idiot for approaching it the way he did. The secret to spoiling five was to pit them against the kingdom in a semi.
Quote from: thewobbler on August 05, 2019, 11:50:42 AMI'd say Fenton and McShane are more or less nailed on as well, at least one of Murphy and McHugh will get one.
At this stage I'd think the only nailed on All Stars are Jack McCaffrey and David Clifford.
Cathal McShane, Sean O'Shea, Aidan O'Shea, Paul Mannion and Brian Fenton probably only need a 7/10 performance each in their remaining game(s) to book their spots.
Everything else is wide open as we are now at the men vs men stage, and the AI finalists will take 10-12 spots.
Quote from: under the bar on August 04, 2019, 04:10:16 PMYep.
What happens in event of a draw? Score diff and Dubs top group??
