Also delighted another team adopting a blanket defence did not succeed. Looks like only ourselves and Dubs of teams that are left that don t. While I have my doubts about our defensive strategy I d hate to see every team play the same counter-attacking game. Another reason important to win yesterday.
From yesterdays viewing Cork are unable to play a blanket defence right. What happened to high pressure and all round defensive team strategy you had before this year? sailing close to the wind is the current Mayo defensive strategy.

Mayo only winning by one point against a side that were hammered by both Dublin,Kerry has to be a cause for concern. For the second game in a row Mayos usually solid defence is looking very shaky.

On the swing Kerry struggled against Galway! Means sweet feck all really. We lost to Derry n a League semi final back in April. That means sweet FA to Derry now and Sweet FA to us!

Kerry struggled as much against Galway than Mayo did in the Connacht final. The shaky Mayo defence was seen first during the league however it was ignored as improvement was expected for the championship but on the evidence of the last two games it hasn't improved.

Kerry struggled far more with Galway than Mayo did. That was pretty obvious.

They had similar half time leads and the margin of victory was similar also. I wouldn't call either game a struggle.

Mayo 3.13 armagh 0.09.Would very much like if the senior game turned out the same way :) :) :).I like these stress free games
sadly Armagh the worst of the quarter final teams. Kerry or Kildare next will be a big test for Mayo.

Potential is there however Galway have much improving to do they only reached today's quarter final by beating Tipperary if they had Armagh route at least they could say progress has been made. At no stage did Kerry look like losing that game the room they were given to play was extraordinary for this stage of the competition. A defensive system and long distance shooting are two things Galway must look at if they are to reach their potential.

Well done to Monaghan the long wait for a championship win in Croke park is over.

Another great win for Armagh, serious momentum built up from the last three wins. Donegal will have to be at their very best if they want to reach the All Ireland semi final this summer.

Mayo were surprising off colour in defence in the Connacht final. Galway could have scored 3-20 and Cork will have a chance of winning this game if Mayo defend like that again.

I only seen the highlights of the Leinster final kildare let themselves down by giving away some very soft goals other than that they seemed to match the Dubs however this Dublin minor don't look as good as their teams in 2011,2012. Kerry a quick and skilful team Kildare will be more physical than them and that could pose a problem.

What happens after that is anyone's guess.
to reach and lose another All Ireland final?

Last year Galway bet Armagh and ran Cork close I don't think its known yet with wins over Tipperary,Sligo if Galway have progessed much more this year.

Armagh have already beaten Tyrone who are a better side than Meath however the Leinster lads could be like a wounded animal after the lashing received last week and sometimes the croke park occasion can get to a side.

Moyna to be the next Down manager?

Two sides poor in defence was always going to be a high scoring game with plenty of goals. I agree about the Tipperary goalkeeper to compare him to Durcan is nonsense.
