Can't anything be done about this?

Had a quick look on ebay this morning and saw 5 different listings for the Dublin V Derry game next week.

For example:

http://cgi.ebay.ie/4x-Tix-for-DUBLIN-v-DERRY-BOI-All-Ireland-Q-Final-GAA_W0QQitemZ290144978777QQihZ019QQcategoryZ1306QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Already this has been bid up to 400 Euro
This guy has even left his mobile number on

Surely the someone at GAA HQ should be doing something about this...

Should you post that Mobile No. on this forum?  Shame them?

@ dublinfella...Prods can be Irish of course but you cannot ignore the fact that a significant number of northern Prods don't consider themselves Irish and don't want to be Irish.

Of course?

Are we not talking about people who WANT to play GAA?  Can't really comment on how tough it was/is to play GAA in the six counties but slagging  someone about their religion is below the belt.

i think its great that we have a few guys doing well down under. if any of them come back they'll be the better fot it..

I don't know if they'll be better for it.  I am thinking of Nicholas Walsh in Cavan where IMHO he has yet to find his best position, every one expects a lot.

The inclusion of Dermot McCabe is a bit puzzling or maybe I am misunderstanding the criteria.  Heavyweight to me implies overweight, short, tub of lard.  Dermot is a big guyI know but he started at wing forward and then to midfield.

A heavyweight that I would but forward is Donal Keogan, manager of Cavan and previously corner forwad for Cavan especially during the winter when he had the excuse that he was getting fit.

Thanks for the advice.

Rang Breffni park and he said for the Laois/Derry game I should get on to Croke Park for a car pass.  Spoke to Croke park and he I should need one.  Just get there early.  Is the laois game ticketed or just turn up on the day?

As Norf Tyrone says
Surely in this day and age, the GAA should provide better access to this kind of information. Not everyone has access to the net and the friendly, helpful world we exist in.

Actually....there is a quer idea for ye Ziggy. Get paid to go round all the Club and County grounds and review disabled access! I'll give you a hand if you want. We can review the social rooms too

It would be a good idea to review the disabled access to County grounds, who to talk to, how long before games should you get in touch, the good and the bad etc.

I am hoping to go to Breffni park over the weekend.  What is the disabled access like there, parking etc.? Who should I get in touch with/member of County board?

I know I should know but it wasn't on my radar until recently.

Going around the country, is disabled access treated well in other grounds?

GAA Discussion / Re: Brolly Feels the Wrath

I have to admit that I enjoy brolly's rants  And I think he is qualified to say these things.  Mayo people seem to be very defensive (paranoid?) about criitisms of their players.  Mortimer is ok, but would he turn a game in Mayo's favour?

GAA Discussion / Re: Sligo in Quater Final.

Sligo do not seem to be on either "would want to meet" or "would not like to meet" list of the posters.  Maybe a dark horse?

Getting back to the point, with out the referees there would be no games!  The best referees should ref he big games and as said previously they are assessed for each game.

What I would say is that is very hard to see a player pulling their appont down unless
1) you are in line with the action which given the speed of the game it is unlikely
2) you seer the replay of the incident.  Again the speed of the action etc.

Would having two referees,ie one for each half as in hockey be a good idea?  Are there any referees at whatever level on the board?  Comments.
#5457
Listening to it on thre radio, one ofthe pundits said that the referee hadhis hand raised indicating that he had seen a foul on the dublin player and he allowed advantage so that Dublin duely put it in the net.  Not having seen it, comments please.  If he did allow advantage, was a good use of advantage?  What are the rules in the rule book about advantage?  Is it there advantage in GAA?

According to RTE, Derry management are protesting over a point that was given but common consenses was that it was wide>  Good luck to them.

GAA Discussion / Re: louth win

Would the rain suit Laois?  Was the terrible weather in Portlaoise when they won in the league this year or last year?  Was surprised when they won as I thought they'd be too light to do it.

A good win for Louth.  Is this year your year?  What is the preference for the next round?
